Next week on Raw, Shawn will take on Edge and Randy Orton in a handicap match...I assume this is what their plan is, to give themselves a week to decide what they are going to do with the situation.
The way I see it, theres 2 things that could happen, or at least two logical/good options (which probably means it won't happen) but I'd say...
a) a new member of DX is up HBKs sleeve. X-Pac or a new member or something....
OR
b) Shawn Michaels gets his ass kicked badly and is "injured" too, in kayfabe. Only to return for the Royal Rumble in his hometown and win....
what do you guys think they're gonna do with this? Or are we just gonna see a shitty uneventful match after all this...

All I'm worried about is whether they'll have enough time next week for another hilarious celebrity segment

Neither a nor b better happen. Especially not X Prick.

Knowing the WWE, if they have someone join Shawn Michaels, it will be either X-Pac (ew) or Marty Jannetty.
But knowing the WWE, they'll likely have Shawn Michaels put up a Hell of a fight, and actually go over the World Tag Team Champions after some kind of miscommunication, or after Cryme Tyme gets involved.

If you can't beat em, join em?
Its highly unlikely and I wouldn't want to see it by any means, but it came to mind. At least it'd be an HBK heel turn.

I'd rather see the Rosie/Trump deal go on again instead of X-Pac.... But damn, did you hear how loud the "boring" chants were during that match?

X pac is easy to bash for obvious reasons. But I can't say I didn't like him in 98-2000, which was under the DX banner. In fact, I really enjoyed him and found his matches very entertaining. Of course my opinion of him in and out of the ring changed quickly in the years that followed the breakup of DX and the shitfest that was Xfactor but, there could be much worse things than Xpac tagging with Shawn Michaels for a couple months.
Like the rest of Raw.

Super Cena will do a run in to save HBK, making it his 15th appearance on Raw that night.

I'd like to see HBK fued with Cena. If Cena did try to save him he'd attack Cena and turn heel, but then attack rated RKo so he'd be like a tweener. But he'd still get huge pops cuz the only thing he did was hurt Cena who most people aren't for anyway. At that point he could feud with Cena after winning the rumble.

Option b considering Michaels wanted some time off anyway.

So if HBK gets 'injured' and is out for a while, what will be next for Rated RKO? Cryme Tyme? They earned the title shot at the last PPV. Could intro the feud by having CT steal the belts...literally. Not very creative, but that's perfect for WWE.

HBK wants time off, so, he'll prolly get beat down, or win and that will be the last of this feud for a long while.

If HBK does want time off, the smart thing would be to get Rated RKO massively over by taking DX out.
So obviously, HBK will pin both of them and then retire.

If HBK takes a sabbatical (see what I did there?), then well, I can't describe the blackness that will envelop Raw.
Jeritron
01-10-2007, 08:00 PM
His sabbatical will last all of 2 weeks until he makes a suprise entry in the rumble and sweet chins both members of RKO out of the ring to win in San Antonio, and then its made a triple threat with Edge, Cena and Orton since HBK was a legal entry but not officially approved by The Coach (GM), then Austin comes back and as his first act as Co-GM gives the title shot back to Michaels and makes it a Fatal Four Way.
Okay I'm just making shit up, but wouldn't that be decent?

No, seriously Jeritron, that would be awful.
It's now too late for Austin to get involved with any storyline progressing towards Mania. Austin should not be made GM as I'm sure (in storyline terms) Vince and his family haven't forgiven him for what happened at Homecoming.
There should be NO surprise entrants at the Royal Rumble. They should all be announced and the numbers 1 & 30 should be as random as all the others.
However, as of Monday, isn't it 2 weeks til the Rumble, and they've announced shit as of now.
I think, as it stands, Orton will win the Rumble eliminating Edge somewhere along the way. This will lead to the Triple Threat at Mania between Edge/Orton/Cena. Michaels will probably enter the match this Monday but be told if he's beaten by rated RKO that he will be number 1. No.2 will be a jobber off ECW, someone like Punk or RVD and they won't last long.
Which will suck. Like a BIG BIG Dyson.

You can really say thats a worse scenario than a plain Orton vs Cena.
And as for Austin appearing towards Wrestlemania, it is planned. As for kayfabe of Austin and McMahon having tension? Are you kidding me? Homecoming was more than a year ago and it never happened. DX and Vince are on Raw with no interaction already, and Vince and his family's kayfabe relations change more than the weather, not to mention the storied history of Austin and McMahon on screen.

But now you are thinking like they want you to at the WWE. I'm speaking about how I'd like to see things. It's clear that Orton, Edge and Cena will probably be involved at Mania, I was trying to make the best of a bad situation.
If I had my way, at the Rumble, Michaels will win, covered in blood at the end of it. IT goes down to Rated RKO and Michaels. RKO in their lust to end DX rather than think straight go for a double conchairto on Michaels. They miss, HBK uses the chair to eliminate Edge and then SCM's Orton on the other side of the ring in a matter of seconds. Edge and Orton berate each other outside the ring, which leads into a feud between them for Mania. Let the crowd decide who to cheer for.
Cena comes out on Monday night and says that last year he made one of DX tap out, on the night that the reformation (if he can say the word) began. Triple H was at his best and he beat him. He didn't take him lightly, and he won't take HBK lightly either. For him to beat both members of DX in consecutive Mania's will cement his place in history (start making out he's becoming a bit arrogant, a bit presumptious). He has a lot of respect for HBK, but respect means nothing when it comes to the WWE Title. It's not just a prop to him, it's a piece of history in his hand and with that history, he needs to embrace the future as for the last 2 years he's been the future, and he likes that.
Michaels comes out and says that he's been through hell since the last time he faced someone 1-on-1 at Wrestlemania. (show the footage of Austin beating him) Triple H didn't quite have enough last year as he took Cena too lightly. People didn't believe Cena had it in him, but after beating Umaga at the Rumble, people know that he does. This is his chance for redemption. The chance to exercise the demons of Wrestlemania 14, and reclaim the one thing that matters the most to him - the WWE title. It could be his last chance to headline Mania and win the title on the biggest stage of all. (He can do the emotion thing, get him to do it) Triple H won't be at his side for the match, but he is with him, and Cena doesn't need to forget that he went a whole hour with Bret Hart and didn't get pinned once. He didn't submit.
You then build the match similar to Rock and Austin. Not having fisticuffs every week, but keep it til within a couple of weeks of Mania then have him SCM Cena. The next week, Cena wants revenge and goes for the FU during a tag match between HBK/Cena and Rated RKO, he doesn't get it, but HBK gest another SCM in. Cena then SCM's Shawn. That type of thing.
At the event, the fans will decide who to cheer for. Most likely Michaels, you then have Michaels get a last win at Wrestlemania.
The feud doesn't have to be personal. It's for the biggest prize in the industry. That's all you need for Wrestlemania.
Thats the best I can do with a terrible state of affairs on Raw.

"Edge and Orton berate each other outside the ring, which leads into a feud between them for Mania. Let the crowd decide who to cheer for."
That wouldn't be bad, but then you'd probably have a situation where the fans overwhelmingly cheered Edge as a face over Orton. Of course WWE would try to book it otherwise. But either way you're losing one of the only 2 legitimate heels on Raw, or in the WWE for that matter.

I disagree. Let them cheer for Edge, he need not acknowledge the fact until after Mania when he tells the fans to kiss his ass or something. Get him into a programme after Mania with Carlito, they'll soon boo him again.

How about a program where he wins the title and holds it for longer than a month. Heel or face, I'll take that.
