From Meltzer...

Randy Couture will be announcing on Thursday night's "Inside the UFC" that he is coming out of retirement. It wouldn't shock me if they also announced Tim Sylvia vs. Couture as the main event for the 3/3 PPV in Columbus, OH. The second sentence is nothing anyone has told me directly, but based on a number of things said to me be a few different people in the last few days. Most notable regarding that is the current plan is for Couture to fight at heavyweight for his comeback. I think that's a bad idea. Another indication it may be Sylvia is just the timing of this announcement.

Think I read Liddell is out for 6 months or so with a finger injury from the Ortiz fight and a torn MCL he suffered training for it, so this would cover for him quite nicely.

Got any video's of some good Couture fights? I've seen very few and they were less than impressive. Wanna see why the guy is a legend.

Just look at the fights where he beat Ortiz and Liddell. That's enough itself. Oh and Belfort too.

It is now offical.

Randy Couture signed a 4 fight 2 year deal with The UFC. He will be facing Tim Sylvia at the March PPV.

Vera was holding out on a new contract

Vera is a mug. He could sign a 3 fight deal and build his name and bank account.

You can tell UFC is really trying to bulk up their heavyweight division. If Randy wins it can definitely shake things up, with CroCop coming in.

Truthfully, I wouldn't mind seeing some huge sluggers who only swing for the fences like they use to have.. Cro Cop and Couture is a good start but their heavyweight division is weak as hell.. They should bring in guys like Butterbean or Bob Sapp atleast for a few fights.. Seeing guys like that against techs like Cro Cop could be entertaining..

I don't think Bob Sapp can get down to 265

And that is why the "heavy"weight division sucks..

Remember back in the days when giants like Emanuel Yarborough roamed the UFC freely??

Fucksake, I might be over 265lbs..
