iPod software related question thingy

Does anyone know of any free software I can download to load songs off of my iPod to my computer and other people's iPod's to my computer? I know of the copypod program and its really easy to use but you have to buy it, the trial version only allows you to move 100 songs.

I just downloaded ephpod, which is supposed to be good, but I've yet to try it out.
