Also, during a commercial break, a man in the crowd was asked to remove his Austin 3:16 football jersey by security because it said "WWF" on it. He was given a Royal Rumble T-shirt to wear instead. That goes to show you how seriously WWE takes keeping the "WWF" letters off of their TV. ... Thanks to James Cohorn for the Smackdown report.

Granted, legally they can't have it on TV, but still, what the fuck? :wtf:

I'm going to buy a bunch of "WWF" shirts and give them out to the first five rows camera-side.

LOL

I think everybody going to Wrestlemania should bring out the retro tee's. That would piss them off.

You know, considering they can't be sued for Helms' Green Lantern tat, I'd suggest this may not be the primary reaon....

Wrestling, in general, is a joke. You either like it despite that, or you don't.

You really can't call an industry founded in carnival trickery and the actual following it engenders without some heavy irony.

Actually, I'd wager some people like it because of it, not despite it.

During the Summer Slam 2003 start off I saw the scrathed wwf logo on
a boy's cap.

TerranRich

And that boy was never seen again....

And that boy was put on a pole in the first ever "Dominik on a Pole" match.

YOUR Hero's obvious sarcasm aside, I can't be the only one who's noticed that their reason it utter bullshit, can I?

There is no way WWF could nail WWE for that. If A mob of fans came out with WWF scratch T-Shirts and started chanting "Fuck the Pandas! *clap clap clap*" in the middle of a PPV or on cable, there would be nothing they could do.

Yeah, I realize that. And honestly, I don't think the WWF WOULD come after them for something like a shirt in the crowd (signs I can see, but not someone with a visible WWF tattoo for example or shirt).

Even signs, I doubt. And they would lose. The fans are not directly endorsed by WWE, so there's no market confusion.

Again, I cite Hurricane's Green Lantern Tat, which he showed off and pointed at on TV. I don't think he's done it as Helms, but as the Hurricane, he did it numerous times.

DC couldn't go after that, even if they wanted to, and that's an actual wrestler. T-Shirts, signs, chants...

I have an idea, how about we all get WWE shirts and go to the WWF headquarters and laugh.
