K for those who haven't seen the matches here they are:

Joe v Angle 1

Joe v Angle 2

http://www.megaupload.com/it/?d=CAACU0DX

Joe v Angle 3

After you've watched all three (and if you haven't I don't care about your opinion,) please tell me, do you think they were worth the hype?

The matches are great.

The booking is just retarded.

No, next question.

I enjoyed I and II and against the popular opinion, I didn't enjoy III as much. So I'm leaning on the "no" side of the fence.

No, but i enjoyed the ending to the last match even though it just look too scripted, though the rest of the match was boring. Their styles just don't fit together.

I enjoyed II and I to some extent but found myself bored with III.

I don't get why people are so upset with the booking. I mean, what are they supposed to do, wait until Kurt Angle breaks his neck again and never have the match?

This isn't super-healthy Kurt Angle, and although many could argue that he shouldn't be wrestling if he's not 100%, TNA did the best they could with the situation. I think they handled it perfectly, in my opinion.

Thanks for the matches, by the way. :y:

Well, it's no Joe versus the Volcano.

Has it lived up to my own hype and expectations for what it would end up being, yes.

Has it lived up to all the hooplah that was on these boards and stuff a couple months ago, hell no.

great matches, but nothing groundbreaking.

The iron man match was pretty weaksauce, and that's the only one I've seen.

Also, I am well aware that the other two are downloadable at the top of THIS VERY THREAD, but I don't feel like watching them.

Quit calling it an Iron Man match....and no.

Yeah, it was a Silver Man match, duh.

They called it an iron man match, dickhole.

Even though it's not one.

WWE has called a fifteen minute match an Iron Men Match, don't see what's wrong with calling this an Iron Man Match.

Even if they didn't (I'm not 100% sure on what they called the tag match from a few years ago) WWE called Angle/Michaels from Homecoming an Iron Man Match and that was a half hour.

I wasn't all that hyped about it to begin with.

Sorry, it's a thing I have. When you've got matches that usually go around 30 minutes or so on your shows or PPV, it doesn't make much sense calling another one that goes just as long an Iron Man match. To me, Iron Man will always be the 60 minute thing.

Iron Man is a series of falls, though.

By that logic, if a regular match goes close to 60 minutes on the PPV it doesn't make much sense calling it an Iron man Match.

That's pretty much what I meant. You keep the rules of the most falls but within the 60 minute time period.

They were good, but nothing special IMO. I was never to thrilled about him being booked against Joe anyway. I'd much rather see Angle take on Christopher Daniels or AJ Styles.

I think Angle will take on AJ Styles tonight on Impact!

Kurt Angle vs. Christopher Daniels would be fucking phenomenal. Daniels has got personality, so I can see a program being extremely entertaining. Another feud I want to see is Kurt Angle vs. Alex Shelley w/Kevin Nash. That would be fucking glorious.

I thought the Angle/Joe feud was done as well as they possibly could, given the circumstances, but I really wish they would have just waited off and built up this feud as the main event of Bound for Glory 2007. They could have developed the Kurt Angle in TNA character more, and had more of an angle than just:

"Hi, I'm Kurt Angle."

HEADBUTT!

I mean really. That's violent and fun, but it's not good storytelling, and there's no drama behind it.

As for the matches themselves; they were brilliant, of course, as we knew they would be. I hope we get to see more of Angle vs. Joe in the future.
