View Full Version : Is there anyway to reach Vince?

I mean we can all pretty much agree that wwe isn't what it used to be and whether you think it's good or bad you realize it's not as good as it once was.
Whether you think they have more talent that they can use, no great superstar, a case of "cycliciliness" or bad booking you can at least say "yes I agree wwe could be better"
I was thinking we could all get together and write an official letter to WWE about what we see as the problem with wwe, We could all edit the letter untill we are all at least somewhat happy with it,we could have polls on what issues are most important to us, nominate the best writer(s) to write for us, and all of us could E-sign it, or send multiple copies from multiple adresses. I'm sure as many people as we had we could make some kind of impact if we worked together cohesively and peerhaps actually did something other than just sit on our asses and complain.
We could go to shows with the letter and thwor it in the ring, go to wwe headquarters and lay it on the desk, explain that we love wrestling and what WWF/E once was but not where it is or is going altogether.
I dunno maybe this is shit, but it's my idea to actuallly do something.
the more apathetic or cynical will just deny this entirely, but save the negativity, if you don't like myidea at least tell me how you thingk we could make an impact shot of just not watching tv, we could just not watch the ppvs, which i think is a great idea.

And it would fall on deaf ears. You think there's anyway for us to reach them, or that they'd care? They wouldn't take us seriously. And as soon as you say something bad about Triple H that letters gonna be shredded like wheat.
Here's how we can reach Vince, instead of taking our teaspoon of shit with a grin, put up a fight.
Its hard for me to give up on him, I'll admit it. But its gonna take people like you guys to stop watching, stop buying tickets, don't even buy the dvds. And watch TNA all day.

Yeah, he's not going to get it. Ever.
And if somehow, I turned out to be wrong, he not going to read it. Ever.
And if yet again I erred, he wouldn't listen to it. Ever.

watch the ppvs afterward.
I think maybe we could leave the parts that we think would be shredworthy out.

A true WWE fan at heart is rooting for TNA, they have to be because the compettition is the best motivation for excellence. Vince himself admitted he misses the compettition and wishes it would come back, and even adressed TNA on Off the Record with Michael Landsberg (check it on youtube).
WWE is like a family member whos become a crackhead. You know its a mess, but you still love them. You can't give up on them, you wan't them to be okay but you know they have a problem. Its how I feel about WWE and its veteran talent, I just want things to be okay and I'll never sell them out. But I know its shit, I know they need to clean up and I want TNA to bring them to rock bottom so they can get back on their feet.

Found One in the Best PPV format thread:
Great American Bash.
He built that company and he thinks he knows what's best so I guess you'd have to cater to his ego. Instead of sending letters to WWE, people could send them to TNA trying to convince them to move to Monday or even better, to Tuesday. I know they could beat ECW head-to-head in ratings and McMahon will start to take notice. Then the ball will start rolling from there. Having conquered one brand of WWE could solicit the move to 2 hour show. Then as long as they dont fux it up, momentum is on TNA's side. Eh?

Nielson ratings aren't hadnwritten anymore, are they? TiVo and DVR are counted within a full day of the original broadcast. Hopefully, since you're suggesting not watching them, you mean download the PPVs, sicne that's the biggest issue.

Although I myself have made an addiction metaphor, if you truly think supporting someone else is the best way to make an addict better, especially when that other person has similar qualities, you're batshit fucking crazy.

I agree. Don't prevent shit by supporting other shit. Prevent shit by supporting awesomeness.

I don't think WWE needs competition to be good again, they just need to do what they're supposed to do: Wrestling.
Drop all the lame stuff like Trump/O'Donnell.
Get rid of childish gimmicks such as Boogeymen and Pirates.
Celebrities? At least get decent ones: Tyson :y: Schwarzenegger :y: K-Fed :n:
It's simple really... TNA doesn't need to succeed to force WWE to get their asses in gear. WWE has some of the best wrestlers in the world today, yet very few of them get the chance to show it.
Anyway, this is just my opinion as I'm sure some of you will be thinking the usual "If you're so great go start your own promotion" etc... Just my two cents... If I didn't wanna see World Wrestling Entertainment I'd tune into Nickolodean or something... wait... :wtf:

I agree. Don't prevent shit by supporting other shit. Prevent shit by supporting awesomeness.
The addict analogy and the idea of supporting TNA to bring WWE to new heights were seperate statements.
Its a fact of rehablilitation and intervention that it often takes rock bottom for one to see the errors of their ways and get back on their feet.
As for supporting awesomeness, desperate times call for desperate measures and falling behind breeds awesomeness as WWE has shown.
Kane Knight
01-18-2007, 02:01 PM
They're separate statements in the same way:
Homosexuals are bad.
I am a homosexual.
Are.
The problem being that the one and the other are actually very closely related. In one, you make a comparrison to an addict, and I agree. The Rock Bottom statement is almost exactly what I said. The problem is, you then tell us to go out and support another program which has the same addiction issues. That's not Rock Bottom. And that's where they connect.
The best answer, to get good wrestling, is to not watch bad wrestling. It's the "tough love" BOTH WWE and TNA need.

I write awesome storylines. My "Lita blows up in the middle of the ring while trying to blow her nose and Mick Foley comes back to investigate whether it was a terrorist attack or a bad botch" storyline is awesome.
tucsonspeed6
01-19-2007, 03:28 PM
I might be interested in that storyline.... but first I have to know if it involves Foley finding a secret blurry security videotape of Lita's stalker dubbed over by McMahon's electronically altered voice as HHH gets smashed through a Vince's corvette window in the parking lot as it's getting filled with cement, then the car is lifted to a height of 20 stories and dropped to the ground and Hogan smashes into it with his semi, but Big Show tips the semi over and Tori screams and Angle comes back and tries to stop him from killing her, but Show choke slams him off the roof into a burning dumpster and electrocutes his balls and as he's leaving he accidentally runs over Steph's dog, and she gets mad and sprays him with beer in the middle of the ring with a giant beer truck and everybody has a 15 man Armageddon Hell in the Cell, or not?
