Word from WWE is that Carlito will remain in his current mid-card position until he decides to step up and show that he really cares about the business. The big criticism recently is that he was unhappy being put in the puppy-love storyline with Torrie Wilson and thus he hasn't been trying to hard as of late. The other problem according to those in the know is that the babyface character he is playing now is completely the opposite of how he is in real life, and that he's a natural heel who in some ways is being held down by a character that it's basically impossible for him to play.

It's probably hard to care about a business that has turned into a complete total disgrace and joke - and is utterly ridiculous and disgusting.
Used to be that guys could enjoy working - but now it seems that lots of people within the company, and the business in general, are unhappy with where it is going. I see this first hand all of the time.

So, in real life Carlito hires people to stab wiggers in night clubs?
I love him even more.

Personally I think now is one of the best times Carlito has of elevating his status on Raw as a babyface. With HHH injured and Cena, Flair and HBK being the only big faces on Raw, if he was a heel then he would be lost in a shuffle along with Johnny Nitro, Kenny and others, and would be below the likes of Edge, Orton, Umaga and the Great Khali.

LoL, I bet everyone forgot about Jesus Aguilera.
TNA supposedly wanted him for a while, but now they have Tomko - so I guess only one sidekick at a time. :shifty:
Well maybe if the writing team could come up with either "good" and/or "original" gimmicks and angles, just maybe he would try a bit harder.
Being fed to Khali didn't help things.

lol, I don't know...
Carlito is a lame ass face. The guy has incredible charisma when he's ripping the fans apart and being a cocky asshole, but as a cute, stuttering, lover, babyface, he's a bore to watch.
He needs to spit an apple in Torrie's face.

They basically Cena'd him.
Instead of making him act a heel, but still be a face. They made him a stereotypical babyface.

Carlito could be a decent face f they didn't RKO him.

Then again, I remember hearing that he didn't really have the passion for the business to begin with, and that he went into it more because his dad's the famous Carlos Colon.
But yeah, he's definitely been Cenated.

I agree with Carlito for two reasons:
1. In the past I was always a natural heel. Anytime I had to work as a face it would suck the life out of me.
2. Come on... I bet even Chris Benoit would lose interest if he was booked in an angle with Torrie Wilson.
All sex jokes and "I would" comments aside, when a wrestler gets into the business it's to try and become champion, entertain crowds with your matches etc. Not to be booked in fucking love angles with people like Torrie Wilson and her dog.

I'd be pissed too. WWE just feels that its not a rookies right to be pissed with the direction their career is headed. Which is total BS. If anything they should be more concerned, all dues and respect issues aside, hes an employee and a talent and has the right to be disgruntled since the situation is more than unfair.

Just disgusts me that a Carlito or a CM Punk would be slapped on the wrist for being "out of line" or "disrespectful", while a young'n like Randy Orton shits all over the company and the business and gets away with it cuz hes their bloodline golden boy.

But yeah, I agree with what you said. :y:
Or how RVD get's punished for being caught with drugs, yet people like Austin get away with assault on his wife (Debra... at the time).
WWE.

Here's the thing. You hear the expression "This is a post 9-11 world?" Like it means anything at all?
Yeah, well, RVD didn't get punished for being caught with drugs. He got punished for being caught with drugs in a "post Eddie Guerrero" business. Eddie's death got a lot of attention, especially as a former drug abuser. WWE had to pay lip service to this, and then RVD went and made them look bad.
Nobody gives a shit about a Texan wifebeater. Especially in wrestling. It's assumed. Fuck, if Austin's the only guy on the roster to have beat his wife, I'm a black Jewish Midget. When people start dropping dead, we have a problem.
Basically, RVD bit the hand that feeds at very, very worst time. Well, the worst time would probably be the day of or after Eddie died, but you get the point.

Yeah, he got squashed by the Undertaker until even Loose Cannon stopped going "ORRRRRTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" And people just started hating him. They beat the fuck out of him onscreen. Yeah, he got away with it, alright. Potentially the biggest push in the business, so it seems to make sense that WWE would see this as a bigger puishment than one loss to Bobcore.
Remember, 80% of WWE's punishments involve a fantasy world that only appears on TV in primetime and the biweekly PPV.

he's good at being a heel, but ever since he became goody two shoes who rolls around with Teddy Ruxpin and co, I can't stand him.

I think he's just being a wuss. I really feel if you are given a character, any character, and you run with it you can be successful. The Ringmaster became Stone Cold so think about it. It's just grabbing the bull by the horns. Probably has to do with why Cena is champ.

The Best thing that can happen to Carlito is...
a. he becomes the first one to PIN Khali.
b. he gets into a cool feud with Cena.
c. join Dx and substitute for HHH.
d. He screws Torrie Wilson and the heel Carlito is back with his Cabana.
e. his wwe contract expires and he decides to move on to TNA.

e. was just stupid.
Come to think of it, so was c.
I'd rather he break the Masterlock, myself. But by "heelish" methodology, like a back kick into the nuts. He can parade it around as an accomplishment, while Masters can do the Angle thing and say "Didn't count!"

But wasn't Ron Simmons/Farooq the first to accomplish that last week? I could've sworn he had it broken up BEFORE the Super Crazy interference...:wtf: :|

They still have the Masterlock Challenge semi-regularly, although Master's claims that because he waves around a piece of paper called a "note" signed by one who calls himself "Mr. McMahon", that the Iraq soldier didn't break his Masterlock. So Simmons showed up last week and J.R. went on and on after Crazy interfered (during the replays), about how he thought Simmons may have broken the Masterlock. But I guess we'll all find out in just over 2 days from now...

So many missed opportunities this past week on RAW:
First of all, Chris Masters should have put Ron Simmons down with The Masterlock. JR and King should have stressed that Ron Simmons is known throughout the business for his power (which he is...wasn't he considered to be the strongest on the roster when he was wrestling?), and have Masters slap him down hard. It wouldn't have been enough to do it on its own, but it would have certainly been a step in the right direction to making Chris Masters a credible heel force.
Next, when I heard Carlito confronted Vince McMahon about the stupid shit he had been doing, I almost had an orgasm. Vince McMahon comes out, basically points out he owns the business, he can do whatever he likes. Torrie Wilson parades down as "Miss USA", and does her bit, then Carlito enters. He protests Vince using his girlfriend in his ego-masturbation, and Vince asks Carlito what he's going to do about it. Vince points out Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker have all failed to stop him, what can Carlito do to stop him? Carlito then takes a bite out of his apple, and Vince just stands there all "you're not actually going to do what you're teasing you're going to do", and then...apple in the face.
That would have been a great moment, if you ask me. RAW would have been the perfect time to get Carlito over as a huge babyface, but instead they used him to put over Vince McMahon (why?) and then jobbed him out to The Great Khali. Stupid WWE.

Farooq was certainly billed as AMONG the most powerful on TV back then.
Simmons putting over Masters might make it worth something.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to carry over backstage perception onto TV, but I am sure I read reports that Faarooq was so respected for his strength or something. JBL even mentioned it in one of Bobby Lashley's matches.
The quote was something like "Bobby Lashley is one of the strongest men I've ever been in the ring with...Ron Simmons was the strongest.", and just that stigma surrounding Simmons made me interested when I read he was taking The Masterlock Challenge.
Of course the WWE bailed and did nothing with it.
