Which Shawn Michaels do you prefer? Primaddona/pre-retirement or 2002-present?
How severe was his back injury in 98? In his book he says that he doesn't use pain meds anymore
When he came back in 2002, did you think his match against Triple H would be a one time only match or did you think he had a lenghty comeback like he's having now
Well he came back in 2002 but only as an onscreen character, and then when the whole nWo thing fizzled, he came back as a wrestler

that run vs hhh should have been his last. He should have retired as champion.

I would agree, but I don't want to imagine HBK's last run with him wearing those lame ass brown tights.

I'm glad HBK is still around. With his original comeback match in 2002 I did originally think it was a one-time only thing. But since then he has been in some great matches and helped put over other wrestlers, so all-in-all it's good to me. :y:

Pre-retirement HBK was the better in ring performer. His bumping like crazy was awesome. Though he kind of did the same thing during the build up and match with Hogan at Summerslam.

I suspected it was a "last run" deal, but I'm glad he's still around. He's the best thing on the roster.
Pre-retirement, but honestly, I'm getting sick of this born again shit. I don't care if he found religion, in fact I'm happy he did. But the way handles things, like doing the crotch chop above his crotch as not to anger his God or being involved in shit he's "uncomfortable" (wink wink, nudge nudge) with is just bullshit.
But yeah, either way, the pre-retirement character was better.

Pre-retirement Michaels was easily the more entertaining of the two. I wasn't watching wrestling at the time the returned, so I'm not how that worked out. But I started watching again in 2004 and haven't had a problem with him. Some of the "born again" character can get annoying, but for the most part I agree with KK that he is the best thing on the RAW roster right now.

I love this HBK more than the other one. He gives some more in some matches, and others he doesn't. The born again thing is annoying but whatever. He still has the charisma and the talent that half the Raw roster doesn't have. Give me 15 superstars that have his charisma and talent.

Pre-retirement, hands down without question.

Nothing he does now can compare to the Showstoppa, the Icon, the Main Event, the "HBK lays down for nobody", the insane bumping, pre-oh-shit-I-landed-on-the-casket-wrong HBK or yesteryear. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy his career and what he does is the best Raw has to offer. But he's kind of like Chinese food leftovers. Yeah, the food is still really good reheated, but you can't help but notice some of the flavor is gone...

HBK from pre-retirement was better. He was more flexible with his character and wasn't as limited, plus at the time he was THE top guy and was in his glory days.
However, current HBK is still great. Even if he's not what he used to be, he's still excellent and one of the top 3 or 5 wrestlers going. His run shouldn't have ended in 02. He hasn't buried talent or dominated the title since his return, at all. Hes still HBK and a huge asset to WWE programming in these troubled times, and look at some of the matches he's had since coming back...his matches at the past 4 wrestlemanias have all stolen the show. He's not the HBK of old night in-night out, but he still steps up to the plate and knocks it out when it counts and I'd like to see him continue doing so for another year or two.
