Yeah, crazy day. Subways were all delayed and shit. Almost miss my class. Someone saw a fucking Mooninite and thought it was a bomb. Retarded.

LOL @ that articles description of the show:

"TV show "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," a surreal series about a talking milkshake, a box of fries and a meatball."

Whoever wrote it must have been like "Did I seriously just type that?"

Well, in all fairness, that is what the show is about.

Why would they put some small object that could even remotely be mistaken as a bomb out in the middle of a bridge? Haven't they ever heard of a billboard?

It was a sad attempt at Guerilla marketing.
The way I see it, why even market the Aqua Teen Hunger force, just give it moderate advertisement. Its audience is already found, not many people will go see this movie. But it won't flop cuz it probably cost next to nothing to make.

I admit that I didn't know that the movie existed until this happened, but this method doesn't make me want to watch the movie any more than if they had simply shown a trailer on tv. After the legal repercussions of shutting down an entire city roll around, it'll probably cost them more than advertising during the superbowl. Plus, whoever's held responsible for this will surely lose their job, so I wouldn't say it was brilliant.

Yea, if people didn't want to see this movie already, they won't. It's the type of thing that has its own audience and its not exactly going to become mainstream.
