On the main page, it mentions that Jericho's band will be playing for a TNA special on a Monday night. The special is supposed to be 2 hours long as well.

Anyone else think this is their way of testing the waters for another Monday night war?

Well, except it's airing on a night that Raw is pre-empted by a dog show. If it is a test, it's a pretty poor test.

Sarcasm sucks ass.

So this is more of a way for them to try to draw casual WWE fans over to TNA. Anyone think TNA ratings will go up because of this?

In a word?

No.

Sorry, after reading 8 threads on this, I decided I was going to look for sarcasm and just effectively copy my last 6 responses. :o

So if in reality nothing will come of this, why would they do it?

This is a Russo thing, isn't it?

Let's face it, if you were going to test the waters, you'd put on a live two hour show featuring Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Sting, Jarret et al. Someone said in another thread how they can't get into just watching a match if they've seen no build up. I fail to see how a two hour highlight show can garner any interest.

To me, personally, it shows a lack of ambition.

They're running reruns when going live could actually sell people on it.

If TNA had ambition they'd look at booking seriously.
