View Full Version : If they do the nWo now in TNA...
This is a hypothetical if the nWo was never done. With the current WWE roster, pick out two major guys who are to jump ship to TNA, make a splash and join up with another former WWE wrestler already in TNA (Christian, Angle, etc).
TNA Wrestler: Kurt Angle
WWE wrestlers: John Cena, Randy Orton
The leader would wind up being Cena, declaring that they are the "New World Organization of wrestling, soldiers!" and go on a rant about how the WWE fans never gave any of these guys the respect that they deserved.
Now, I'm not going for "good wrestlers" here, I'm going for shock value/staying true to the original nWo. Former major players who no one expected to join together/show up in TNA.

An nWo type stable of Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Tomko, Rhino, VKM could work if done to where it isn't just a carbon copy of the nWo.
Start off with just those guys and pick up a few other guys along the way. Having Angle and Cage as their two main guys would be just fine.
Then they can feud with a TNA group of Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Abyss, Christopher Daniels, and Team 3D.

Good idea.
I'd maybe twist it a little though and have the James Gang (I refuse to call them Voodoo Kin Mafia!) announce that they'd signed a lengthy contract with Vince and had realised the error of their ways. keep this going for a bit and then they finally announce that they have a big name coming in from WWE.
In steps Bischoff or heyman as the "big name" and then the recruitment begins.

I'd have Heyman side with TNA and a guy like Jim Cornette side with the ex-WWE guys.
Cornette and Heyman do have legit heat with each other and both can cut good promos.
It'd be perfect.

This is a pretty far fetched pipe dream, and not all that fun to speculate about. Just saying.

I highly doubt we would see a nwo type of stable in tna even if it was a different name and all. At this point TNA is united since they wanna compete with the WWE. so forming a stable to tear the company apart is the last thing you're going to see. Dont forget WCW died....lol

If the Rock showed up and started some kind of nWo-esque faction, it would be a blow to WWE. Although I suppose this could be more of the “Hogan going to WCW” situation rather than the Nash/Hall invasion of 96’. If Edge were to jump and join up with Christian and Kurt Angle like they did briefly a few years back in WWE, that could also theoretically be the start of something major.

TNA would call NWO National Wrestling Organisation.

Now that I think of it they'd probably throw random words together ala Voodoo Kin Mafia. It'd be Nintendo Wales Orange
nWo = Never Wrestle Old
that sounds like russo's youngbloods. i think wwe tradmarked nwo by now, so the heel stable would have to have a new name but i love cornette vs heyman, do all that when rvd comes in.
