The only real one that comes to mind is Matt Striker. The think the crowd would have killed him in old ECW.

Going in with his whole "Extreme Enforcement of the rules" Could have been another Steve Corino.

CM Punk and Elijah Burke I think, as for the rest, no.

To be honest, look at a lot of what they had...
I think most of them could have gotten over, they would have just been booked by Heyman, which means differently and better.

CM Punk def would have

I still think Lashley would have. Heyman would have booked him better, perhaps as a dominant heel. Plus he'd be getting thrown through tables and shit. I think with Heyman's booking, and just by being a part of their church, the ECW fans would have accepted just about anything Heyman created and made ECW

Heyman could make big men better than their skillset. And Lashley has the added benefit of actually being a pretty gifted wrestler on top of that. He'd probably never be World Champion (although I said the same thing about Mike Awesome before he came through the crowd), but he'd be pretty over. He wouldn't be Tommy Dreamer or Sandman over, but he could have been 911 over.

I think that anybody currently on the roster (obviously barring former ECW wrestlers) besides Lashley, Holly, and possibly Moore could have gotten over.

I believe heyman could book anyone. So Mr. JL thinks for the neg rep but it's just a fucking opinion.

The ECW audience shat on MANY wrestlers despite Heyman booking them. Not everyone got over in ECW.

Hardcore Holly.

Say what you will about how he treats the new blood, but his style exemplifies the old ecw brawling made popular by Dreamer, Raven, etc.

I'm not sure if Holly would have gotten over with the crowd, but he would have defenately held his own against the other wrestlers.

Kevin Thorn and Ariel would have gotten pretty over with the ECW fans. Thorn has a nice moveset, Ariel is sexy as hell, and he's got a good, buyable gimmick that is more or less based in reality.

I could see him getting over as a Raven-esque character.

How is a vampire based in reality?

You know, I don't think Punk would have gotten as over as quickly, if it wasn't for his ROH and Indy work, if we were to debut say in 99 when the indies wern't as strong as they are now, I don't think he's be as big as he is now in all honesty.

How is a vampire based in reality?

ISn't he not supposed to be a supernatural force, but rather a guy living some gay lifestyle, like Punk or Vito?

He's been pretty down to Earth. Unlike his last gimmick, the D&D player who oculd kick your ass...

Exactly. He goes to underground vampire/alternative lifestyle clubs, or some shit.

Vampires are everywhere, man. Haven't you seen Blade? They have like their own night clubs and shit. True story.
