Seriously, you had better hope RDD doesn't make one of his random appearances. He'll ban you if he sees this.

Super Metroid
Super Punch Out
Final Fantasy III (or FF6. I would also say SNES FF2, but you might be better off trying to find the Japanese FF4, since that is the uncensored one)
Chrono Trigger
Both SM Worlds (the original and Yoshi's Island)
Simcity (seriously, if you want to know why Sim games have become popular, try this one. The hardest out of all of them, though)
Earthbound
Super Off-Road

Just some of the many. I also have a English version of Sailor Moon: Another Story, a japanese RPG that never made it here, unfortunatly. Someone was able to make a translated ROM file of it. You should try it. It's good, but will make you appreciate the process of leveling up everyone. It is REALLY FREAKIN' HARD if you don't.

they've already been mentioned but i'm here to reinforce the point

if you like RPGs DO NOT skip these games, they are the best RPGs i have ever played, and i'm not exaggurating.

Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 (called FF3 in US)

I like RPGs, but not on consoles, much better as handhelds IMO, although I'm not a huge RPG fan, FF7 is great, but I prefer my console games to be easy to pick up and play.

every final fantasy; mystic quest, final fantasy 4, final fantasy 5, final fantasy 6. they'll take a while to beat but whatever. 6 is probably the most classic RPG out there, def one of the best, mad long really good music though.

4 is pretty short but kinda un-guided. and 5 from what i have played is pretty hard. i suggest starting with 6 and going wherever from there.

You haven't played FF4 hard type then, have you?

Oh, got one more, although it'll be sure to give you nightmares: Super Ghouls N' Ghosts.

It's MUCH harder, as in, you will need to level up a GREAT deal to even stand a CHANCE on the hard type (as in, level 70 is the recommended level to even have a chance against the final boss, and even then, you're likely to get ass raped sideways). The enemies attack more often in a battle, as well.

oh i dunno. i spent like 10 hours in the lunar underground just in the final little room just killing the one enemy who doesnt attack and running away from the one who does. and i remember constantly leveling up after getting characters to get them at a decent level.

also a huge flaw with that game was you would get characters and go through a level or something and then they would like turn to stone or leave or something, like i spent a bunch of time making them good now they are gone. i think you might be able to do a bunch of side quests to get them back but what is the point.

Yeah, it is balls when characters leave and don't come back for seemingly no reason. Not so bad if they die or turn heel, but fuck, don't just quit like a little bitch.
