I've always wondered this. Do people living in the Pacific time zone watch Raw taped at 9pm their time, or how does it work? Surely it's not live at 6pm is it?

I'm pretty sure it does air live.

But what about the watershed and prime time TV and all that.

On the right coast Raw starts at 9pm correct?

The East Coast?

Yeah...

I'm not saying this is proof, but Nitro would air twice, not just to have a replay but to put it in Primetime for the west coast. Spike may have separate feeds (but I still want to say it airs live), but TNT, at least at that time, didn't, hence the double airing.

The East Coast?

Yeah...

Yeah man, it's 6pm on the west. In canada 7pm.

9:00pm on the west coast, which is why I don't go into the Raw thread during Raw. I don't want the spoilers.

So some places get it at 6, and others at 9?

Probably depends on the television service.

I guess in Canada TSN was showing it live at 6. For years and years I'd eat dinner infront of Raw.

Thats strange. In fact that kinda sucks for you guys. TV air times are clearly geared to us here on the east coast.

I can't imagine watching raw from 6-8. Or a ppv for that matter. And everything else

We always get it at 8 here on Central.

Central time is awesome. We get to watch stuff before its "late" and before its "early".

Here's the break down...

9 for Atlantic Coast
8 for Central
7 for Mountain
back to 9 for most Pacific Coast.

It mainly has to do with our prime time slots. Our prime time begins at 8:00 because of all the major cities. (Larger populations = more likely to be out from when you left in the morning until later than in smaller populations.)

What's REALLY weird is when their is an event "Live" from some place in Hollywood (Oscars, American Idol, etc.) and you see shots from outside and it still sunny out, and everyone is talking about how they're coming to you live....but then you look out the window and it's pitch fucking black...

that's not really weird. That's normal

In Canada, we totally lost that 'live' feeling because as stated earlier, RAW airs at 7pm-9pm. Then they air it again at 9:30-11:30

I prefer watching Raw at 6. When Raw was awesome I used to wait till after to go out and do something.

To clear up the issue (i have lived in CA and NC and experienced it both places)...It's 9PM Eastern and 9PM Pacific UNLESS you have DishNetwork...Dish airs all there stuff off the east coast feed so you see it at 6pm if you are in the pacific time zone.
