does anyone know why the nWo storyline and the DX storyline start? The two stables were basically mirror images of themself so why would WWE do this after the incident?

Well I think the NWO thing was killing WWF in ratings so they came up with DX. To me DX was a bunch of pranksters and rebels "standing up against the man" and NWO was originally a group of cool bad guys trying to take over WCW then became this big jumble of mess.

They were in no way the same stable. The ONLY similarity was that it started with Kliq members...and that Shawn Michaels was originally supposed to be the Hogan character but he didn't leave his WWE contract.

nWo - Outsiders trying to take over wrestling...
DX - Rebels who took "Shock Jock" attitude and introduced it to wrestling...

Yea, the WWE attitude era is so much a product of the late 90s contreversy entertainment like Howard Stern, Jerry Springer, and stuff of that nature. It was also during the time of the Clinton scandal. This all played a factor in the market for edgy, contreversial and vulgar entertainment.
