Honestly, old Rey Mysterio Jr probably would be my #1.

The One
02-09-2007, 12:47 AM
Actually Juvi would be, but Rey has the legacy behind him...

So did Batista. Whats your point?

The Naitch
02-09-2007, 12:58 AM
Mysterio is the best

The Naitch
02-09-2007, 12:58 AM
but the thread is asking us who is the beat luchador.

Fignuts
02-09-2007, 01:05 AM
In terms of accomplishments, yeah Mysterio is easily the greatest ever. And as far as in-ring skill he's in the top ten. But I think the luchadores who have a bigger build are a little better as they are more versitale. They can wrestle the heavyweight style while still keeping the speed and agility of the cruiserweights.

I doubt that, Lock Jaw.

Dorkchop
02-09-2007, 01:52 AM
Who are you to doubt El Dandy?

Blitz
02-09-2007, 01:53 AM
I set 'em up, Dorkchop knocks 'em down.

That's how we roll.

The Naitch
02-09-2007, 01:55 AM

Lock Jaw
02-09-2007, 01:55 AM

The Naitch
02-09-2007, 01:56 AM

Nobody's mentioned Ultimo Dragon? Funky's gonna be laying some smackdown here.

The Optimist
02-09-2007, 11:27 AM
Yeah, I would say either Ultimo Dargon(sic) or Juventud. They could wrestle an infinite match for all of time and I'd never get tired of it.

Lucha is gay. But my vote goes to Kevin Nash. He already conquer the X Division, now he is going after Lucha Libre.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Psicosis. Even though he's not the best he is one of the more well-known.

No mention of Mistico either.

Can't say that I'm very well-versed in luchadors, but from what I've seen I'd have to go with Rey Mysterio. Especially pre-WWE Mysterio. So much fun to watch.

Yea, I don't know much about luchadores outside of the cruiserweight divisions in WCW/WWE, and a few in ECW. I'm gonna have to say Rey Mysterio. Not just for ring ability, but for what he's accomplished in the industry. He's the only luchador to actually become a major player and huge crowd favorite in big time wrestling.

Except for that time he held a title. Other than that, yes, he became a major player.
