Several northeastern wrestlers attempted to raise funds for Bam Bam Bigelow's New Jersey Funeral. Wild Samoan Afa contacted Vince McMahon, who agreed to pay for the funeral. A second funeral for Bigelow, in Flordia, was funded by local wrestlers in the area. Bigelow's New Jersey funeral was attended by the likes of Mick Foley, Diamond Dallas Page and Brother Ray from Team 3D.

Props to Vince for that. He may not be classy or moral all the time, but in this case, definitely an admirable thing to do.

Probably just did it for the good image.

Also, two funerals? I've never heard of that. Did they show the body at both?

I would imagine the one in Jersey was the funeral and the one in Florida was more of a memorial service sans the body.

Does that really matter?

Yea because IWC and Meltzer report news notes are solid PR....
I'm sure it wasn't about people finding out he did it, as much as it was him actually doing a classy thing that isn't gonna set him back at all. He's an asshole sometimes, but hes not evil.

Rare case of McMahon being classy. It's respectable no matter what the reason. (And let's be honest, unless it's posted on WWE.com, basically 95% of the fans won't ever hear about it...)

Good on Vince, Bigelow gave him a huge Mania main event. Good to see him respect that.

Didn't James Brown have about 175 funerals that the body was shown at?

I can definitely respect Vince for this. A classy maneuver by any standards.

Vince defiantely isn't a complete asshole considering all of the awards they have won for their work with different organizations.

Now no one can say a bad thing about Mr. McMahon for 72 hours.

I think it was 6. And, last I heard, the body was still sitting in his living room, locked in the house.

I'm sure he'll also pay for ECW's funeral once he kills it.

Being from that area, I have heard the same.

2 Side Notes:

1. The whole thing is a fucking train wreck at this point.

2. This is the same town as the Worst PPV Ever and the first TV Title change that "never happened." (Unannounced, but Benoit beat Booker T)
