Depends what your looking for. From what ive heard the svr games are not much different from there bigger brothers. Ive got one but i only pick it up and play it occassionally. If your a big GTA fan, vice city stories is pretty good but probably not worth buying just for that. Theres a few other games out including a Final Fantasy 7 spin off and a metal gear sold adventure which ties in what happend after snake eater. Without knowing more what exactly your looking for or what games your into, its hard to advise either way.

Only for long trips and such. SVR load times are way too long. Takes over 2 min for 1 match with created wrestlers. Vice City Stories is fun tho.

The SVR games are like the biggest, console ones, but with longer wait times during load screens.
If that's why you're looking for one, probably not.

I dunno what exactly you can do with a PSP besides emulation and MP3s and shit, but if it's games you want, get a DS.

Final Fantasy Tactics remake. If that's not reason enough to get one, what is?

Not to mention the number is still well below what the DS has been bringing out.

I have had one for a while now, but honestly I've only been using it as a web browser for when I'm away from the computer for the past year or more..

The Marvel Ultimate Alliance has different characters in it that its larger counterparts... i think Mr Marvel, a playable version of Black Widow(I think thats her name) and maybe one or two more that Im forgetting. Also its very worth it to get the psp because you can download movies from the internet and put them on to the harddrive discs. And im not sure about the name of the site but there is a place where you just pay one payment and you can download as many movies as you want. So if you do a lot of traveling or work a really boring job its a good buy.

You can get video players cheaper with bigger and better screens. If you want portability, there's a vast array of better products.
Basically, what I'm saying is unless you really want the games, you're better off buying something for, like, movies...
Like they're saying and what I gather from others, DS seems to be the choice of gamers. However if you are like me and want that device that does it all, I might go with the PSP. I use it for...
-Music (I don't have an iPod)
-Internet
-Emulators (for those who can get 1.50FW or Custom only)
-Games (fighter fan though, so the games I want tend to come on this system)
-Homebrew (same thing as with Emulators...use these for my job and such)

There's evidently a stronger homebrew scene for DS than PSP.

Really. I thought that you couldn't load stuff to the DS unless you have GBA Memory cartrage?

Yes. You need to have something external. Does that make the homebrew scene any less prolific?

Just got the new 3.10 Custom firmware. It plays all of my homebrew, emulators, and even PSP Commercial Game downloads right from the menu. So yeah. Getting a 8gb memory card now for 250 bucks. :)

It comes down to preference. Which system has the most games you will most likely enjoy. For me, its PSP. The Nintendo games are fun for the most part, but I think PSP has better quality in their third party titles.

They'd have to. Sony is pretty much only third party support. Nintendo is pretty much only First or Second party in terms of quality titles.
Though many developers are claiming they're shifting back to the DS now that it's stomping the PSP. I'm yet to see this influx of games, but whatever.

Just found out the new custom firmware has a Playstation 1 emulator that runs at full speed. Also there is an N64 emulator out. Gonna try them when I get my 8 gig memory stick.
So I should have homebrew, psp game isos, N64, PSX, Gameboy Advance, NES, Genesis, and SNES all on my PSP.
THEREFORE: PSP>DS
