View Full Version : TNA gets NEW and INNOVATIVE (Impact/Special Spoilers)
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g122/sandman3g/Wrestling/tnagimmick.jpg
The new gimmick match TNA will be announcing tonight during their "This is TNA!" special on SpikeTV will be a new take on their Ultimate X match where (as you can see from the photo above, which was taken at the TNA tapings in Orlando tonight), scaffolding has replaced the wires for the Ultimate X. The name for the bout may be "Elevation X".
From PWInsider.
Yeah...
They really need to make the ring bigger.

 COME ON. It's not as if this will make Ultimate X any more intriguing. This may even make it worse.

lol Alex Wright
He was funny. I used to love watching him and Disco Inferno when they would try and say eachothers dance was better.
Whatever happened to both of them?

lol at the announcers acting shocked in the re-dub about the match surprises even though it took place over six months ago.

GET UP STING GET UP
Well, at least it's not that stupid fucking idea to have X-Division matches judged by real judges without predetermination of a winner, like I was afraid it would be.
The cables across the top of the ring for the Ultimate X match did cause a few problems, including mis-timed moves and the "X" falling into the ring before the match was over. Hopefully these new steel girders will prevent these types of problems, and could also create opportunities for some new spots in the Ultimate X match.
Either way, Ultimate X is always fun to watch.

I am not going to give it away but if any of you guys have read the TNA spoilers it is not going to be a Ultimate X Match

I'm surprised guys agree to wrestle extreme x or ultimate x or whatever it's called. I mean, is it really necessary to have everything so bloody high up? Somebody will get killed in a TNA ring during one of these matches.

Seriously, its becoming to the point where their ring area and arena looks like a mix between that show Battledome and a shitty toy playset.
For months I've been saying TNA needs to take a step forward with their image and arena (ring, entrance way, ring area, etc.).
But now it appears they're just taking a step back, or not taking steps at all.
How do they expect to be taken seriously when its like American Gladiators?

It seems like a nex and intresting match to me, I think it'll be a cool concept with a chance from some cool spots. I like TNA I think it's better then the WWE which I like also. Either I'm way too easy on they way wrestling is or everyone here is way too hard on wrestling, I'm inclined to believe that it's the former. I can see why you all hate this, but I like it. It's cool though we are all of us intitled to our opinions.

See though, thats the problem that encourages crap like this. What's next, a rotating scaffold with gladiators throwing kickballs and shooting tennis balls?
How about a moat on the outside of the ring? There'd be some real great spots if the ring was a triple decker with swing ropes....
How about booking a real show and adding psychology and actual meaning to a few matches, making your product work out, having real fueds and storylines, getting out of universal studios, going live, getting 2 hours, and developing your own talent and increasing the production value. But instead its about, hey this could make for some really cool spots because thats what we are, spot monkeys with sheep.

Tell me more about your moat outside the ring idea...:shifty:

hahah, all I know is the sheep would eat it up. Sharkboy would swim patrol in it too. There'd of course be a draw bridge but it'd be up to start the match.

Russo: Let's take this idea, and IMPROVE it!
Russo: Judy Bagwell on a Pole, IMPROVE ON IT!
Jarrett: Let's make it "Judy Bagwell on the Statue of Liberty" match!
Russo: I LOVE IT!
Russo: Jeff Jarrett, Judy Bagwell on a Pole, IMPROVE ON IT!
Jarrett: Let's make it "Judy Bagwell on the Statue of Liberty" match!
Russo: No, Jeff Jarrett! Let's do it one better! We're going to make it a "King of the Judy Bagwell on a Pole Match," Jeff Jarrett! It will be fought under King of the Mountain rules, with guys needin' to get the pinfall to be eligible to win the match, and the losers goin into the penalty box.
Jarrett: Right...
Russo: And then, Jeff Jarrett, when you do become eligible, all you have to do is stick Judy Bagwell on the pole to win the match!
Nash: ...what do you mean, "stick Judy on the pole"?
Russo: That's what she said, Kevin Nash.
Jarrett: Hahaha. I love it!
