If Rock would not wanna work with HBK then how come they were together in the Coporation sometime during the late 90s? Also, don't forget the Iron Man Match between HHH and Rock in which HBK was the referee. So if they have worked before in some form other than wrestling each other then why wouldnt he wanna wrestle HBK?

Because now he has the power to do whatever he likes. Back then he didn't. And I personally believe that Dwayne Johnson is professional enough that if he was under contract long term and McMahon wanted The Rock to work with Shawn Michaels that he would do it without question. It's a shame it never happened really because it should have and it would have been awesome.

The HBK heel turn on X-pac was awesome. Actually Rock vs X-pac on Raw was an awesome match.

Everything from that time period was goddamn awesome. The booking was sensational, the show was so cohesive. The main event and midcard were seperate entitites but had a closeness at the same time. You felt like it was one big federation and not seperate divisions and storylines. Everything meshed well.
Plus the midcarders were so over.

It was a time where in addition to the big main eventers and storylines, you could actually have a midcarder challenge the champion in a match and it be exciting. Even knowing better, you could still amost percieve them as having a shot and it was so well done that it built the credibility of the champion and pushed the midcarder at the same time.
I'll always remember how good some of those normally throwaway Raw title matches were. Like HHH's two title shots on Raw as leader of DX. Or Xpacs.
