Just speculation about the last book and the fanbase and the movie.

If Potter dies, do you think they'll rewrite the ending for the movie?

They'd better not. I would expect them to follow along with something as integral to the story as that.

This is more about the hype.

Kind of like my morbid fascination with people who watch Idol, despite not actually watching or giving a rat about the show.

Only to make the ending more violent, I hope.

I think nothing would be greater than to see Potter get killed off in the next one....Dont get me wrong...im a fan....but I think it would be great to have one of those final showdown type endings where Voldemort strikes him down...and as hes about to die off he gives one more shot at Voldemort...thus killing Voldemort...then when all his little friends come around him, he dies......

Oh...and would I change the ending for the movie...

Hell no......Why should they? they moves are already getting darker and darker to match the tone of the books. So why change it now...

That sounds gay.

And yes, the tone of the movies is darker, but no, it still doesn't match the tone of the books.

Actually it does match the tone of the books, which are also gradually getting darker and more mature and complex. Potter dying doesn't seem like the right thing, but it could happen, and if it does, of course they'll leave it in the movie. To change the ending to make it more "family friendly" would alienate the entire fanbase.

To say they're darker and more complex to match the movie is similar to saying that chess and checkers are of similar complexity, or that Impact's ratings are comparable to RAW...

Also, Potter dying does seem like the right thing...You know, because it's what was intended and what she was building to...But I'm sure you knew that, since you obviously had someone fill you in on the books.

They will film two endings, one of American auidences with a fluffy happy ending, and one for the rest of the world.
