Watching it in a few hours, review up later.

It's meant to be better than Shaun of the Dead and that is one of my favourite films ever

Ok then.

It was good, not GREAT!

I think it's a film that will get funnier the more I watch it, I was probably expecting too much, there were dozen's of LOLZ moments, but it was a slow build to get there.

I know this sounds negative, but it really isn't meant to be, as i'd happily watch it again tomorrow, plus there's loads of british comedians in it.

So in conclusion 4/5 very good, just not as good as Shaun, but then with Shaun I went in without knowing alot about it.

I thought it was fucking brilliant, on a par, if not better than Shaun of the Dead.

Not sure

I'd say it's a better made film than Shaun, but not as funny. There's lots of smaller laughs but not many huge LOL moments. To me, anyway. Also the constant cutcutcutcutcutcutcut editing during the many action sequences started to get on my nerves after a while.

Most action movies are like that, I assume it was making fun of it.

I did love the little bits from Shaun, like when they are eating cornetto's

And also I like the mini cuts in between actions that were in Shaun.

Like when Shaun would get ready for work there'd be just flashed of him doing his teeth, flushing the loo and they washing his hands in 5 seconds.

Lots of that in Fuzz.

Nah, it's Edgar Wright's directing style, he uses a LOT of cuts, even back when he was doing Spaced. Imagine the fights from Batman Begins but with MORE cuts and MORE movement and you're somewhere close.

Finally got round to seeing it yesterday, such a funny film. Critics say it sagged abit in the middle before the end action beings, but I thought it was pretty good, gave the story more meaning.

Going to check it out, these guys can make mediocre movies for the rest of their lives as far as I'm concerned. They gave us Shaun. :y:

Saw it a few weeks back. I thought it was wicked. Much better than Shaun of the Dead. I was pretty disappointed, actually, when I saw Shaun because it had been so hyped up. Hot Fuzz lives up to the hype, though.

There were a few moments where it lagged a little, but they were short enough to be forgivable, and didn't detract from the overall feeling of satisfaction when the end credits finally roll.

Saw it tonight. Hilarious. Would have to rank Shaun higher though, until I get to see this a few more times. CORNETTO

I got a screener that's pretty decent only the first 10 min. were cut off.

I didn't like Shaun of the Dead. I didn't find it funny or "scary."

If I didn't like that movie, should I even waste my time on this? Is it different enough I might enjoy?

Movie was the fucking goods. Plenty to laugh at throughout the movie. I dont think it sagged in the middle, but at the beginning like Blitz said. Then I was laughing for the rest of it.

Actually, I just saw this, and I thought it was fucking hilarious. I watched it for free because a friend had rented it with that gay ass 15 day rental shit. I was horribly surprised. This movie was one of the best cop comedies I've seen in years.

Same story with me. I didn't like Shaun of the Dead, but Hott Fuzz was pretty hilarious.
