View Full Version : Yeah, the WWE are idiots...

Another match has been added to No Way Out. Chris Benoit will team with The Hardys to take on Montel Vontavious Porter and MNM.

This match will be good, no doubt about it, but what's pissing me off is that MNM and The Hardys are teaming together, yet the reason the Ladder Match was cancelled was because Vince didn't want them together.

The WWE are fucking idiots. I realise the plan is to probably have the Ladder Match take place at WrestleMania now, but it still sucks dick that the WWE pulled the rug out from under the WWE Tag Team Champions again. I'm going to pray that London & Kendrick will get over despite the WWE's best efforts to sabotage them, but does management really need to make it this difficult?

Just noticed the other topic. My outrage still stands.

For a minute, I thought Val Venis had been fired.

Val Venis being released would at least allow him to Brent Albright it up on the independant scene.

This is clearly a well thought out ppv, matches thrown together at the last minute. Then again whats new there. :nono:

Who cares anyways. No Way Out is a thorwaway anyways. Sure, its a ppv and moeny is involved, and they should take pride in putting out a good ppv but come on. They're banking off the one selling match, other than that its just going through the motions and worrying about promoting and saving their load for WM23.

erm... what's the one selling match? :?:

Apparently its the "Hey these two guys are fighting, lets make them a team. . .hey. . .these guys are fighting too, lets make them another team. . .hey. . .we've got two fully functioning teams that obviously make sense lets make them fight, it'll be awesome." match. Otherwise known as the main event, which is the selling point of the show. It makes total sense.

Sometimes I wonder if the writers are just out of touch or if they're actually trying at all.

No Way Out could be great, I am actually looking forward to it in some perverse way. It's just they shouldn't have cancelled the Ladder Match if they were going to have The Hardys and MNM on the card anyway. Here's still hoping for London & Kendrick vs. The Hardys vs. MNM vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team in a TLC Match at WrestleMania.

The opening match should be the six-man tag. It could be awesome. The heels will probably isolate Jeff Hardy, who then tags in Matt, who cleans house but is then isolated himself. Benoit then gets the hot tag and hits German suplexes on anything that moves. He puts Joey Mercury in the Crippler Crossface and then MVP hits Benoit with the US Title belt as Johnny Nitro and/or Melina has the referee distracted, and Mercury pins the US Champ. Mercury gets a title shot on SmackDown!, and Benoit soundly beats him, but still gives Mercury a good match. MVP and Benoit feud heading into WrestleMania.

King Booker vs. Kane is getting so much shit, but I think it has been done well so far. "King Booker, Oscar Winner, Can You Dig It?"...classic. I think Kane should pick up the win, as it just feels right. I'll mark out for the Chokeslam on King Booker, and I look forward to seeing both men climb the roster after WrestleMania has taken place.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. The Throwbacks from the Other Side of the Tracks will be a nice little match, I'm just worried they're going to switch the Titles. What I would do is have L&K retain the Titles when Regal & Taylor cost Deuce N' Domino the match. Regal & Taylor could say the shot at No Way Out was their's, and The Untouchables stuck their noses where they didn't belong. I don't know which team the WWE would turn face, but working with The Blue Bloods would really help Deuce Shade and Dice Domino perfect their tag team game.

The Cruiserweight Open could be a lot of fun. I really want to see a spot where Helms hits The Vertebreaker on Shannon Moore, and Moore just lays there for a few minutes selling the move like death as everyone and his dog tries to pin him. I expect Jimmy Wang Yang to pick up the Title here, and for Helms to chase it back heading into WrestleMania. Chavo Guerrero could win, but I think he is beyond the Title. A dark horse pick would be the unannounced Little Guido, but that would kind of make me ejaculate, so it won't happen.

Finlay and the Little Bastard should really win their match, but I get the feeling Boogeyman and Boogeyboy pick up the win. I know this will be an unpopular thought, but there are lots of midgets out their that can work. If Vince can convince SmackDown! to get another show on the CW Network (apparently they are happy with the WWE at present), and they still keep up the ratio of wrestling is to crap on SmackDown!'s side of things, I could live with the WWE bringing back the Juniors Division. But only if Mini-Book and Mini-Dust return as babyfaces. Tell me I did not just say that?

The Diva Talent Invitational will probably be won by Ashley and will mean nothing. I hope they have JBL do commentary during it. I am just waiting for the line "Where's Shannon Moore/Brian Kendrick/Vito/Gerald Briscoe?". I hope Big Dick Johnson makes an appearance. Yes, this is Alienoid talking. I find the guy's appearances entertaining. Just once I want to hear a commentator ask "What does this guy even do here?".

Theodore Long should announce some SmackDown! WrestleMania matches here. Batista vs. The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship, Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. MNM vs. The Hardys vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team in a TLC Match, Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Gregory Helms, Chris Benoit vs. MVP for the WWE United States Championship, Kane & The Boogeyman vs. King Booker & Finlay and The Throwbacks vs. The Blue Bloods are the programs I'd run on the SmackDown! side of things heading into Mania. I don't know how many would make the actual WrestleMania card and which would just fizzle out on SmackDown!.

Bobby Lashley vs. Mr. Kennedy is really the most interesting match on the card. My first instinct is that Lashley wins to continue putting him over as the next big thing, but Kennedy winning and jumping to ECW would actually give them a main eventer worth something. You have MVP on SmackDown! as the upper mid-card heel, and it is a really stacked show. I don't think moving Kennedy to ECW would hurt. Maybe have Snitsky help Kennedy, and then have Lashley beat Snitsky on his road back to the World Title at WrestleMania.

John Cena & Shawn Michaels vs. Batista & The Undertaker should be made for the World Tag Team Championship, in my opinion. Cena & HBK never lose, so why not make all their matches together for the belts? It might make the fans care about them. Batista turns on The Undertaker, hits him with the Batista Bomb, and Cena pins Taker getting the rub on the way to WrestleMania. This also makes the RAW main event seem less like the second attraction. A no contest ending will really suck the goat's nuts.

SmackDown! the following week would look something like this:

* Chris Benoit defeats Joey Mercury with the Cripper Crossface to retain the US Title

* Paul London & Brian Kendrick defeat William Regal & Dave Taylor with help from Deuce N' Domino to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship

* Gregory Helms defeats Shannon Moore

* Batista comes out during Rey Mysterio's promo, and there are underlying tensions, but Batista says he's not a bad guy, and what he did to The Undertaker was only business. He then gives Rey Mysterio a Spinebuster or a Batista Bomb, and says everything is business.

* MVP defeats Matt Hardy with some heel shenanigans.

* Kane defeats Finlay when The Boogeyman's scares Finlay out of the ring, giving Kane the countout victory.

* Jimmy Wang Yang defeats Chavo Guerrero with a Moonsault to retain the Cruiserweight Title.

* King Booker defeats The Undertaker after Batista interferes on his behalf. The Undertaker & Kane vs. Batista & King Booker is announced for Saturday's Night Main Event.

You would have thought that not watching WWE programming would have tempered Alienoid's fantasy booking enthusiasm.... :p

it sucks that they cancelled the ladder match, but they need the gimmick for Mania, whether its a TLC or MITB match. The PPV I think will be good simply because its an SD! PPV. I enjoyed nearly all of the SD! PPV's last year with the exception of No Mercy.

I trust what he says regarding his own reasoning more than I trust Ryan Gray, Matt Boone, or even Dave Meltzer, none of whom seem to actually have any contact with the man.

The way the WWE has been acting (although I don't watch wrestling anymore) I would rather trust Ryan Clark than Vince McMahon :shifty:
