Seriously I love Bruce Springsteen

Yeah IMO no-one else has ever really measured up to the guy. For me anyway, his music has been pretty life defining for me.

Are there any big Springsteen fans out there?

Seriously Greetings..., Darkness, Nebraska and Devils are probably four of the greatest albums ever.

Darkness on the Edge of Town stands out above all of those as the best thing he's ever done.

And the Seeger Sessions tour is probably the best live show I've ever seen, and it was only on TV. I enjoyed seeing that show on TV more than I enjoyed seeing U2 and Van Morrison live.

I don't want to die without seeing him live.

Anyway, any Bruce fans out there? Favourite Bruce songs?

yeah I know what you mean. I grew up listening to Bruce. I saw him in concert in Manchester, longest set I been to! Lasted about 3 and a half hours. Not bad for someone in his fifties

Used to go four and a half hours back in the early seventies on the Jersey shore scene. His energy is unbelievable. I'd hate to be in his band lol.

I saw him on the Rising tour. The E-Street band are ace as well. They are just as dedicated as he is! I dont think he played Rosalita. I wanted him to play Atlantic City but he never did. So its an excuse to go and see him on his next tour! haha

I know quite a few diehard Bruce fans. What I find amazing is that his live albums to me are better than those in the studio. It takes a rare special talent to me to be able to pull this off.

I've been wanting to buy his seeger sessions album for ages, but just haven't got round to it.

Saw him doing live performances of the songs on BBC3, and I thought the "Mrs MGrath" song was pretty hot.

I will listen to Live a New York City over any of his studio albums! My dad has about 16 bootleg live albums and he worked out he has 23 different live versions of Thunder Road. And yeah I watched some of the seager sessions on the BBC and it was damn impressive!

Listen to any version of Backstreets where he segways into Sad Eyes at the end. It's magic.

Seeger sessions is overrated. It's basically an instance of "Springsteen can do no wrong."

He's had some really good albums, but keep in mind they came on the back of albums so bad, so poorly accepted that his career nearly ended.

Otherwise I think fair enough, loads of people think Bruce is overrated. Hell, I have always thought Bob Dylan is one of the most overrated guys in music. Matter of taste I suppose.

Bob Dylan is mostly overrated because his brilliance comes between layers of some of the most middle of the road drek imaginable.

Springsteen, he's had some good songs and he's made himself a great career AFTER being thrown on the trash heap. Give him credit for getting things together after some failures I suppose. Born to Run was a monster commercial success for him and it did have some real good songs on it.

Going electric took quite a lot, especially given the era and the stigma against it.

I grew up listening to The Boss as well, he's one of my favourites. I have seen him twice, 4 years ago on The Rising tour and a few months ago on the Seeger Sessions tour. Both were unbelievable and the Seeger tunes sound much better live.

Atlantic City is possibly the greatest song of all time.
