This is goddamn pathetic. Take the time to look through these "signs of the week". They're genius...

the signs were funny
everyone brought signs
the arena was full
the crowd popped
the signs slandered the compettition, instead of promoted it
the show was amazing
the storylines were captivating
the midcard was stacked
the main event was glorious
everything was fine and dandy
sorry to preach to the choir, but I had to say it.

I once brought signs, and they said
"I'm holding this so the roody poo behind me can't see"
"Viscera, we got two words for ya, Jenny Craig"
"Move 1004: Armbar"
none of them got on tv. This was in late 99. Every other time I haven't bothered.

It's a good job I'm patient... the next generation of the WWE craze is just around the corner... I can feel it... the next Attitude... I'm the biggest TNA supporter even though I rarely watch it, because as soon as TNA gives WWE some REAL competition (hopefully even kicks their ass for a little while), then we will see the next boom, and the next Attitude era, and that can only be a good thing. Bring it on.

Besides Money in the Bank this is Money in the Tank

WWF > WWE.

If they are confiscating signs, why not just take a generic sign like "Lashley is the Real Deal" which got named sign of the week about three times in the above WWE.com article... also take a marker pen to the show with you, go to the bathroom and draw your REAL sign on the back.

I don't know whats dropped more. The sign per fan ratio, or the fan per seat ratio. or both.
NeanderCarl

I think that the average intelligence of wrestling fans has decreased since Attitude dropped off, and with it the creativity. A lot of fans you see in the arenas now aren't the college kids and late-teens/early-20s peeps you would get back then, they're mostly trailer park trash and bumpkins. They probably can't write, let alone come up with a clever slogan for a sign. The more intelligent casuals riding the wave of the craze disappeared, leaving the traditional scummy diehards. (Not all diehards, but a lot.)
Less fans + less intelligence = less signs.

I see more blumpkins in the crowd than bumpkins these days

I think the WWE can be likened to sex
80's Foreplay, fun, and made the next step so much more exciting
90's Getting it on, Its fun as hell, and you never want it to stop
00's Premature Ejaculation, it sucks, you wish it never happened and you want is fixed before the 90's never happen again.

It's simple, write a generic sign that they won't confiscate, bring in a marker, and write a good sign inside the building on the other side.

You guys are all wrong. Bring your real sign, with a generic sign taped over it, so the guards only see the generic sign and think "OK AVERAGE WWE FAN" But they're WRONG, as you enter the arena, nibble at the scotch tape, and hold up the sign that says "WHO BOOKED THIS SHIT? SRSLY"

That's what I was thinking was the best for pre-made signs.
LOL, I remember a few months (maybe a year or two) ago when someone held up a "FUCK THE FCC" sign, front row on-camera. Security obviously took it away, but it was pretty LOL...

I wonder what they'd think if people had signs supporting things like Katie Vick, Mae Young's hand, Dominick "Guerrero", the fake Kane, and other assorted crappy angles. You know, things like "I like 'em dead" or "Wow, this ECW is pretty good."

It goes in waves, so I'm sure the next one will come in soon. I'm going to say five years at most.

NeanderCarl
02-22-2007, 02:59 AM
No, just delusional. As a WWE fan since I was a child, I would LOVE to see TNA kick their ass for a while. Not because I have any love for TNA, but because WWE will sort themselves out with a bit of competition. The Attitude era came from WCW dominance.
As I think a bit more about it, I know that WWE is a bit flat at the moment, but then back in 1998-2001 when it was really entertaining, the whole world seemed entertaining, there was so much cool and funny shit coming through, a fresh wave of fun and entertainment. Pop culture just doesn't seem as much fun in 2007, so maybe that's another reason WWE is not as good. It doesn't know what the youth of today wants.... nobody does!
Maybe the world just got depressed after 9/11, and Iraq etc etc. Shit got real and the fun ended.
Without a fresh, cool pop culture to emulate, spoof and feed off, how can WWE be as good as it was?
Wassssssaaaaaaaaaaaaap?!?

Take a sign that you can unfold with mundane stuff on the outside. Then once inside the arena flip it inside out with. "security's gonna take this sign" on 1 side and "FUCK CENA" on the other.
Take a sign that, when folded together at the right point, says something bad.
Like "Cena is the man" turns into "Cena Likes Men" (Got to use your imagination here...).
NeanderCarl
02-23-2007, 12:26 AM
How bout:
"Cena is the greatest and all those who say he sucks obviously don't appreciate good wrestling and would prefer to watch matches featuring no hopers such as The Heart Throbs, Gymini or The Dicks".
Then just fold it down to:
"Cena Sucks Dicks"
NeanderCarl
02-23-2007, 12:31 AM
Or:
"Triple H is a great man, no matter what people say about him, they're just bitter because he is the best. I met him in Scunthorpe when he came to the UK and he was lovely. All of those who are hating on him are idiots with haemmeroids."
Fold that bad boy down to:
"Triple H is a bitter cunt on roids"
