PWInsider is reporting that the third annual ECW One Night Stand PPV event, which was originally scheduled to take place this year on June 10 in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom, will now be taking place in Jacksonville, Florida at the Veterans Memorial Arena on Sunday, June 3.

Do you think they would have gotten a negative reaction at the Hammerstein Ballroom?

The way a large part of the fanbase believes the current ECW product to be shite, they might have gotten told a few things by vocal fans.

Disassemble ECW. Dead. Reassemble ECW. Dead?
NO DISASSEMBLE!

depends on what they booked. If they booked the typical WWECW, yes.
If they booked it like they booked ONS1 and 2, no.
If they kept Cena and Batista out of the building,
put Rey, Benoit, Edge, Foley and others like them on the card
have CM Punk win the new TV title
booked ECW originals in matches
booked The Hardys vs Sabu and RVD
booked Lashley as a heel and had him drop the ECW title to an original
if they did shit like that, the crowd would be fine.
But they won't do shit like that.

No old ECW fan would even go to this PPV.

I'd order ONS3, if the card were this...
(and I booked it in a way that is very possible regarding current direction and WWE's policies regarding PPVs and the new ecw)
ECW TV Title Semifinal match
CM Punk vs Kevin Thorn
filler match
ECW TV Title Semifinal match
Marcus Cor Von vs Sandman
Heyman shoot promo
ECW TV Title Match:
CM Punk vs Marcus Cor Von
TLC Match
RVD and Sabu vs The Hardy Boys
Impromptu Match:
Rey Mysterio vs Elijah Burke
*mysterio returns and challenges Elijah in the middle of a promo about being left off the card
ECW Championship Match:
Bobby Lashley (c) vs Chris Benoit
Extreme Rules 3 Way Dance for the WWE Championship
Shawn Michaels (c) vs Edge vs Cactus Jack
I mean, it seems to favor the direction WWE is going with current things. HBK would be over fine in an ECW arena, especially when working a match with Edge and Foley. So basically, it fits within what they want to accomplish there with a "new breed", plus it employs their new split brand policy. But it also is a better product and truer to ECW at the same time.
CM Punk gets on the card big, wins some gold
You can put the Hardys of RVD and Sabu on their way out, and still get a meaningful match. Maybe even make it for company contracts.
Benoit could put Lashley over good, and he's an ECW guy.
Rey should be returninig around that time. What better way to bring him back than at a split brand event, so it seems like he may be signing with either brand. Good rub for Elijah too. Plus a Heyman shoot would be amazing.
Am I the only one who'd order this?

Pretty good. Cor Von/Sandman would be the worst match ever though. Replace Cor Von with Scorpio in the TV Title tournament or fit him in the PPV somehow and it's great.

Oh c'mon. Like you wouldn't mark out if Cor Von set up for a POOOOOOOOOUNCE!!!! and then got thwacked by a singapore cane.
I mark for the Pounce...... Period!

I think the main event should be
Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs. Abdullah the Butcher with Kane
That's ECW.

Wow, I think moving the event to another place is the best thing they have done with the new ECW. Because the New Yorker fans would have shat all over the pay per view and the 'new breed' unleashed.

Hmm... I may have to go.

That's what would make the entire show, though.
Even with Cena in the main event the interaction with them was awesome.

why do i have a feeling this is some sort of atempt to see were ECW stands against TNA? Like right down to the fact that they would put the ppv up against a TNA ppv if they had one at the time? Right down to ticket sales, this prob has somehting to do with TNA and how it stacks up against ECW.

Well there is hardly an ECW fanbase in Florida. Let alone one like New York's. Its pretty obvious that they dont want fans telling them what they know about the brand. Vince always does that kinda thing. Like with the "Rosie vs Donald match". On a recent dvd it was on but they piped in crowd reactions. VINCE FEARS AUDIENCE MEMBERS!

I was kind of hoping ECW wouldn't last to the point of another One Night Stand.

I never understood why everyones so pissy over the name....WWE has a PPV named armagedon right? so why dont we piss and moan off the fact you can only have ONE armagedon so to speak literally? but on the same page, yea, ECW should have just been kept to a "Once a year" ppv in genral.

I don't have a problem with it. I actually like the name still. I'm just pointing that out.

Kind of ruins the point of the name.

Well the first one they thought was actually going to be their last stand, their one night stand. After that McMahon just thought it was a cool name I guess..

Or like No Way Out, every year they have one but they've always found a way out.

Because they have their way with old ECWers for one night only, and once they've fucked them over, they never call them back.
