View Full Version : You know what they should bring back for Wrestlemania.

Since Wrestlemania is in a stadium this year, and will most likely have a huge entrance way to the ring the WWE should bring back those mini-ring carts that carried the wrestlers to the ring during Wrestlemania III and VI. Those things were awesome, and it was little things like that, that helped give the show a more distinct and special feel. I know it's not important but I miss little things like that.

i agree in a way...the Wrestlemanias lately have been missing the little things like this that made the event feel extra special.

I agree. If not for wrestlers, they should do it for the Hall of Famers.

They'll return when Hulk Hogan enters his match at Wrestlemania 50.
Didn't Hogan lose and then he walked back into the little portable ring and looked all sad and defeated as they carried him away lol.

I 100% expected to open this and the first post be, "Good booking."
Is it true that one of the main reasons they did it in the first place was for Andre because he couldn't walk that far?

On a sort of related note, who else is looking forward to Mania this year just because it's in a stadium again? I can't wait to see how the whole thing looks like in Ford Field. The atmosphere and feel to Mania was awesome at Manias 17, 18 and 19 because they were in huge giant stadiums. Since then they've held them at the same arenas that host Raw's and Smackdowns and hasn't seemed the same.
I dunno, should be cool.

I bet Nash wished they still had those in 02.
Speaking of Nash, I wish he was in WWE right now.

Seeing as it's Ford Field, and the WrestleMania 23 logo seems to be modelled after an automobile, I think they might have guys come to the ring in cars. :wtf:
They should reserve the cart entrance for Champions, in my opinion. It'd make taking a Championship into WrestleMania seem like something special.
The main events will likely get special introductions for their participants, like last year. John Cena's "pre-entrance video" will likely compare him to a machine. Show a Ford being assembled and compare it to John Cena. Shawn Michaels will be exciting. Maybe show his past achievements at WrestleMania set to "Sexy Boy" before he ultimately enters to the DX music.
Those kind of elongated entrances make WrestleMania a little special, in my opinion. It would also be special if it weren't full of sucky matches each year, either. Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James, Edge vs. Mick Foley and the Money in the Bank Ladder Match were the only matches I liked last year, if memory serves me correctly.

What about HBK vs McMahon?
I also enjoyed the main event, just because HHH carried Cena to a decent match, and the crowd made up for any shortcomings.

Ah, I forgot about HBK vs. McMahon. It certainly wasn't awful. I was just upset that Vince booked himself for WrestleMania while actual wrestlers were left off the card. The match itself was mostly decent, and it really picked up towards the end, and the Flying Elbow onto trash can head Vince, through a table, could have been a WrestleMania moment.
Unfortunately, the WWE fucked that up by having Vince appear the next night on RAW, and he went on to become the top heel for Monday Night RAW. God, that sucked so bad. In a perfect world, when HBK killed Vince McMahon several times over in that match, Vince wouldn't have appeared on WWE TV for several months, Shane McMahon would have stayed around as the new Chairman, as his dad was too hurt to fulfill his duties, and we might have actually gotten a new General Manager named for RAW. Alas, we still don't technically have a General Manager.
The main event was fun for "King of Kings", and the fans shitting on Cena, but I was getting sick of the fans shitting on Cena and the WWE just ignoring it. But that was just me. The match itself was kind of bleh to me, if I remember correctly, and the ending was predictable. I can't be anyone actually thought Triple H would win the WWE Title.

That's a pretty stupid idea to be honest.

I don't think they should bring them back. If they had them again pretty much every wrestler's entrance will be screwed. Batista can't do his pose. Kendrick and London can't sprint to the ring. Michaels can't do his jolly dancy thing whatever he does.
It's small things like that that give each wrestler their uniqueness.

I see your point, but I think at WrestleMania something like could potentially add mystique to the proceedings.
London and Kendrick won't get to sprint to the ring, but they'll surely be able to do something goofy while being carted to and forth. Knowing the WWE, they'd still do the pyro for Batista when he makes his entrance, but they'd just move the cart around in dimensions it normally wouldn't go in, because Vince thinks it's "cool".

And when it comes to the Undertaker (despite being a huge carriage thingy carrying him), I'm sure Cole and JBL will be all "Look at that eerie site... the Undertaker, it's seems like he's... floating... to the ring." :shifty:
