The Rock will face Paper at Wrestlemania. Will he finally be able to defeat his arch-nemesis who has handed him humiliating defeat after humiliating defeat?!

Sources say no.

Was Rock's last match at Mania XX with Foley against Evolution? I can't remember a match of his after that, I mean I know a handful of random RAW apperances with promos or what not, but has he had an actual match after that?

no it was his last match.

and his last singles match before that was against goldberg.

the last match he won was his third to last match, against Stone Cold. It was Stone Cold's last match and wrestlemania, and even though Rock went on to do a job match and a tag team match, I like to think of it as Rock's last match too.

I think The Rock may come back and work a few matches here and there if the WWE booms at some point (while he's still alive). There is too much money in matches like The Rock vs. John Cena, The Rock vs. Randy Orton, and my favourite of all...The Rock vs. Mr. Kennedy.

not if he's moved on. Unless his movie career begins to tank, I doubt he'll be back in a ring. He's already changed his stage name back to Duane Johnson. No Rock at all anymore.

So nah, doubt it.

I agree with you, 100%. The only way I can ever see The Rock coming back is if the WWE booms again, and The Rock can appear on WWE TV without being blacklisted as merely a "wrestler".

Yeah, why let facts spoil a mistruth, innit? ;)

Vince has enough money to convince the Rock to show up again, maybe even wrestle again, even if it's just a short run or a one-off. I don't think he's willing to pay out for The Rock at present, but I think rather than during a 'boom' period, we're most likely to see Rock during a down period, when Vince needs a boost.

Nah, bland product or not, WWE aren't exactly flopping. You can't consider this a down period.

An interesting point, well made.

There's no reason for him to come back.

Wrong forum. The Rock has nothing to do with wrestling. This belongs in the casual forum please.
