Sony introduced a new feature to it's PS3 online at GDC this week called Home. Basically what it is is a mix between the 360's gamerscores and Wii's Miis. You create an avatar and you get your own apartment. When you reach goals in different games you get a 3D trophy relating to whatever you did and you can put it in your apartment to show off to others. The apartment is customizable, meaning you can change the furniture, layout, wallpaper, etc and also stream movies, pictures, or music from your PS3 for you or others in your room. It allows you to jump into games with your friends who are there with you and even includes minigames like pool and bowling.
You can hang out at "Home" which is like a giant meeting area where everyone can go if you want to just meet new people or whatever and then just go to your apartment or of someone else. That sounds kind of creepy when you put it that way.
Anyways, here's a link that has a video on there that sums it all up but it looks really nice. Glad to see they are putting out good features.
