The next episode HAS to be a parallel of either Britney Spears or Anna Nicole. I think they can do more with Anna Nicole and references to James Brown than Britney.

They'll probably incorporate all 3 of them somehow this season.

Yeah, last night's ep. was so funny I was in tears not even 2 minutes in...this is easily one of the greatest cartoon series of all time along with The Simpsons, Family Guy and MTV’s Beavis and Butt-Head.
The thing about Southpark is that it's actually getting better as the years go by. Certainly can't say that about Simpsons or Family Guy.
Blitz
04-13-2007, 01:12 AM
ROFL fantastic episode. Never would've expected a 00 parody with Lesbians. Xerxes was hilarious :D
lol at the mexicans writing their eses.
Also rofl at Butter. "You have to be careful with scissors".
Current South Park > Every single episode of Family Guy
Mr Regal
04-13-2007, 06:00 PM
That episode was fucking quality.
And yes South park owns every other cartoon out there....easily.
I'm not going to say that this is a bad season. The episodes are pretty good, but I'm getting tired of all the movie parodies. I know they've done them in the past, but it seems that every single episode now is just a parody of a movie or TV show. It really started late last season. I think they're starting to get lazy.
Mr Regal
04-13-2007, 06:08 PM
Or switching the focus!
I've been seeing South Park going down since Garrison had the sex change. They're still funny, and I still get a kick out of the shows, but they're nothing like seasons 3-8 or so. I think they may have jumped the shark to be honest.
Mr Regal
04-13-2007, 06:22 PM
I disagree, I think it get's better and better.
It all depends on what you want from it. I want it to make me laugh and it does it every time. I understand where you're coming from, and to a certain extent I agree, it has gone down hill in certain areas. However overall I think the show is changing and improving.
I expect the next season to be a change from this one. Change is good:y:

Really weird that I just posted a thread about Night of the Living Dead and then South Park parodies it and other zombie movies with the homeless.
They continue the trend of movie parodies, but I think this was the best episode so far this season. Pretty ROFL. Especially the song at the end. Can't get the damn thing out of my head.
DAMN iNATOR
04-19-2007, 06:10 PM
Honestly, I never really thought FG was all that funny, but you got to admit it does have it's hilarious moments...like when they knock on other tv show's it's gold...especially their takes on game shows the likes of Wheel of Fortune:
Chris and Peter watch Wheel of Fortune
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bMwfQ0TV6DA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bMwfQ0TV6DA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
(Here you see a almost complete puzzle, and naturally given the board, think it says "Go Fuck Yourself", not "Go Tuck Yourself In")
Peter in Wheel of Fortune’s Bonus Round
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PaYNxlC92dA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PaYNxlC92dA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
(A lot of obviously hilarious highlights there...)
also, Jeopardy!:
Peter forgets the “What Is...?” Before Responding
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5X-M_-9Dx_Q"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5X-M_-9Dx_Q" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

and finally, The Price Is Right:
The Price Is Right, Family Guy-style
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bRDkusQZ41w"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bRDkusQZ41w" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
There was also a moment where FG mocked Survivor by making it seem as though it was filmed in the Bob Barker Studios, not where it claims to be set.
There, I rest my case.

It WASN'T a dream sequence. Butters' parents said they read in the paper that he HAD been in Imaginationland.
Pretty great. The only thing that bothered me (after the fact) was that Jesus, Santa and a few other previous characters were shown, meaning they're imaginary, despite them - especially Jesus - having fairly prominent roles earlier in the series.

That had to be the perfect payoff for the episode. It was a pretty good episode, but that one scene bumped it up a few notches. Was laughing my ass of.
