So I noticed that some people have been curious about this game when it is mentioned. That said here is a very in depth review of the game, which is what convinced me too buy it.

You know, if it's not a well known game, it's best to put the full length title in the post at least once before you go abbreviating all over the place.

How about I abbreviate all over your face?

Where did you get your copy from, Fignewton
I don't want to have to buy off some dodgy Jap dealer on ebay :$

A guy from the fireproclub forums was selling it. Good people over there.

I'd say your best bet is ebay tho.

I got this game the other day and I love it. Just one question, how do you change the wrestlers names?

Got to FAQS and Translations.
Jerrolds Translation has everything you need to know about the edit mode, which is where you rename them.

Honestly. if the next KOC has Indy feds, 6 & 8 man tags, and and a deathmatch, I will probably never touch Firepro R again.

KOC needs a lot more detailed appearance for edits though. More customization wouldn't hurt either (Ring making, etc.)
Fuck it, just give me all of Firepros modes, edits, etc, the KOC engine, and Wrestle Kingdom graphics, and I'll be happy.

Ring and Belt edit have a good chance of making the next game, I think. And as for appearance edit, yeah firepro can get away with it thanks to its 2-d graphics, but in 3-d where detail is more noticeable, they need more options. That said, I've never minded it that much thanks to the amazing gameplay, and insanely customizable logic. The ability to edit faces, and having layers to the tights designs, ala smackdown and firepro r would be good enough for me.

Dunno if there would be an issue with licencing and being able to edit existing wrestlers *shrug*
I want this just for the commentary :o

Um, well considering that in KOC 2 they have licenses for NJPW, AJPW, NOAH, ZERO-ONE, and World Japan, all in one game, I doubt they'd have trouble getting licenses for Dragon Gate, or DDT.
Also the last two games have allowed you to edit every detail of the default roster, so I don't see why that would change with the next one.
Unless I'm missing your point which is a distinct possibility.
And yes the commentary in this game adds soooooooooo much to the game.

Really? Huh, I was under the impression that you couldn't edit them without creating extra slots, or something along those lines, which is ok but still not exactly to FirePro's level of just being able to flat out modify.

Second costumes/movesets for your own edits take up an extra slot, but changing things on the default roster takes nothing up. One of the best features of the game imo, considering that you can not only have different outfits for one wrestler, but different movesets, skills, etc etc.
