I liked Freak on a Leash, mainly because it is me and my fiancee's 'song"... I have it on my myspace as a matter o' fact :)

Yeah, it was bad. But they haven't done anything good since Issues, anyway.

I cringed when I heard about this. I saw a commercial for it on TV last night and all I could do was :nono:

Korn's first 2 cds were really good.
Follow the Leader wasn't horrible.
The rest sucked.

I listened to Blind off the Unplugged CD. First track, I downloaded it. It's fucking awful. They made a good song sound like fucking pussy rock.

I was so pissed when I heard about them doing this...but I still purchased the CD anyways due to me being a Korn fan...

Its not as horrible as I expected...but its just so wrong to hear them actually singing instead of the normal stuff....and as far as Freak on a Leash with Amy Lee....Fuckin horrible...I hate Amy Lee and her high ass pitched voice..

Yeah Amy Lee is shit. I think the fact that it's our song is what makes me like it honestly.... I found the other stuff horrible.

You need to be killed in an expediant fashion before you two can breed.

Korn did an unplugged album?

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

But seriously, what's up with bands always doing "unplugged" albums thinking they're so cool or summit? Korn have been releasing the same song for the last 12 years. They need to give up IMO.

"Unplugged" is a nice gimmick that allows you to "revitalize" your music without doing anything original. Though it works better for some over others, it seems especially stupid in Korn's case. However, Korn fanboys will eat it up.

Just look at the customer reviews:

Live, acoustic (or semi-acoustic) performances seem to be a growing phenomenon in music. It obviously began with Nirvana back in 1994

And that doesn't even have to do with THIS record.

That aside, I still give this album a less-than-stellar rating, because the arrangements of the songs are all fairly lacking. The performances themselves are fine, but in translating the songs to quieter versions for acoustic settings, a lot of them (namely "Falling Away From Me") become kind of weak.

"Falling Away From Me" should really lend itself to an acoustic performance. Fishboy and I used to do it as a joke. The arrangement of the song was easy (When you consider it was arranged by someone with no knowledge of guitar for someone who doesn't know how to read music...), so I can't imagine that the people who wrote it wouldn't know how to make it NOT sound at least a little interesting.

IT'd still suck, but that's because Korn blows.

I used to be a HUGE Korn fan, but then after issues..they really really lost it.

Amy Lee just does NOT gel with that song.

Although she really doesn't have a whole lot to work with.

Amy lee or Korn...Tough choice as to who is the albatross around whose neck...
