Saw a few of his matches from ROH and I don't get it. He has an average look at best and his wrestling skills are pretty good, but I don't see anything special.

What's so great about Bryan Danielson?

Nothing. He's an overhyped indy guy who because he was RoH Champ people feel obligated to suck his cock as the next big thing.

He's intense, he has a very realistic style, hes a man not some pussy HBK wannabe. Thats why.

What Would Kevin Do?

He's charasmatic in the ring, can put on a great match with pratically anyone, he's one of the most consistently good workers I've seen, etc, etc. He's easily one of the best mat workers in wrestling today (who are allowed to actually mat wrestle.)

Honestly, I didn't like him at first. The more I watched of him though, the more you start to realize that "Damn, this guy really is fucking good."

He is, however, still insanely overhyped. Nevertheless, he is damn awesome in the ring. Watching him go from hold to hold, especially in ending sequences, is amazing.

First of all, fuck off. Second of all, HBK is who trained him.

Who trained him as well.

Oh, and anyone who wrestles 50 plus minutes after seperating his shoulder is good in my book. Not to mention he wrestled for months after the injury without taking time off, and didn't lose a step.

You just described at least 3/4ths of the ROH and TNA rosters.

Yup.

Honestly his above average in my book but he is nowhere near the spectacular hype that he gets. He's a good fit in ROH and the indy circuit. Not meant for WWE, I would venture to say he's not even really a good fit for TNA. He can't put on a spot fest and there are far more entertaining technical wrestlers on TNA's roster (i.e. - Christopher Daniels, Alex Shelley, etc.).

Meh, I don't know what the IWC and the TNA fans see in him. However, I'm not going to belittle the guy. I mean, he's only 20 or 21 years old. He still has so much time to develop.

Usually no one meets the expectation of the fan's hype. It's better if the person is not really hyped then all of sudden he explodes. Like Austin.

Danielson is old school man. My kind of wrestler.

But way over-hyped and admittedly a very vanilla worker.

I like his matwork.

Got a pretty bland look to him, but shit, I like his matwork.

Anyone who thinks Christopher Daniels is better than Bryan Danielson is quite insane. Just thought I should mention that.

He's not for everyone, I'll say that. And yes, a lot of people go overboard when praising him. But he *is* very good, and put on some of the best matches anywhere last year.

Not even close in my books.

LOL at the Bryan Danielson hate.

I'm not the biggest fan of the guy, and I'm not going to make an arguement for him. Everyone knows he's skilled and can work circles around most people in the business.

Doesn't anyone notice the trend of an internet favorite becomming popular and then TPWW marks getting jealous because their unknown indy star is liked by everyone else?
