Bleh, I'm gonna assume again that we're talking which we prefer. Cena because Orton is just bland and can't seem to work a decent match without employing 4 variations of chinlocks and his mic skills haven't really improved much.

I honestly don't know. I used to love Orton, but now I'm starting to really dislike him. I used to hate Cena, and now I'm starting to come around.

He appears to be gazing at the beer vendor in the crowd. Is that greatness?

You know if you asked me the question any time between late 2003-mid 2006, I'd say Orton.

But Orton has become so boring and such a symbol of wasted potential and just major league screwing up, that I don't know what to say.

There's Orton, who I used to think was great, and even still enjoyed after the debacle that was late 04. But is just a missed boat and extremely boring and a mess right now.

Then there's Cena, who I liked in 2004, not nearly as much, but did like. Cena's a guy who I buy as a main eventer. He can work a match, not a great one, but he's in ring shape not to blow up and definitely can get the crowd into it.
He sucks, but I can't deny he's on some kind of main event level. I buy him as a champion, just not THE top guy. I think he's been ruined.

So when I see Cena and Orton, I see two guys who are the same but have been completely ruined in this fan, and many others, eyes. I see blown oppurtunites and wasted potential.

In Cena's case, I see a decent character who was pushed the right way at the right time, but then too hard.
With Orton, I see a great character who was pushed too soon and not hard enough.

So who do I like more, I don't know. If this was last year at this time I'd click Orton without question. Now, I'm almost tempted to click Cena. I just wish they'd take the title off the guy and let us have a break.

Why doesn't Orton have the pyro anymore, made his pose better IMO.

I agree.

I would like Orton to finally win the title this year. I mean seriously, enough of this Cena crap. I'd like Edge to be given the lengthy reign and become the top heel, but if it means Cena losing the belt, I'll settle for Orton.

The other thing about Cena/Orton I gotta say is, with Orton I see a once great, but seriously fading heel who has little if any potential as a face.

With Cena, I see an overexposed, overly boring face, with a world of potential out there as a heel.

Orton just doesn't really seem to have a direction right now, he's not believable as a face, and as a heel he gets overshaddowed by Edge. His perfect place was in Evolution as the up and coming, good looking, athelete, maybe a move to Smackdown would serve him well. Cena is a guy were all getting oversaturated with. I'm acctually wondering if we'll see him slowley turn similar to what happend when The Rock first turned. Edge is a wounderful heel, so easy to hate his personality, but for some reason it's hard for me to see him as world champion, don't know why.

I think they're both good workers, and can have amazing matches if carried by the right person... But in my eyes Orton has been carried to better matches.

Given ONLY those two choices: Cena.

I'd take Alienoid's Val Venis longshot before either of them, though. Blech.

More like mediocre workers, and can have decent matches if carried by the right person.

Foley single handedly made Orton look good. He made him look good in his matches, talked him up, and most importantly jobbed to him each time. Ortons best time period, best heat, and best matches were all during this time. It's no coincidence that Mick Foley created the storyline and wrote most of Orton's promos for him too.
Whats hilarious about this, is that Triple H and company criticized Foley's work and felt it made Orton look bad next to him.
Then after this Orton moved on to fued with Triple H, and we saw how that made him look and turned out for his career.
Ironic isn't it?

Cena's best match of his career is about 7 days away, so we'll see how good he can be.

Im going with the Legend Killer...

Jeritron

The legend killer gimmick is another thing thats dead in the water.

How good of a legend killer can you be when suddenly you can't beat any legends, or even the current stars. Not too many legend killers lose cleanly with a partner to Lashley in a table match, or as I'm suprised nobody has brought up, pinned by Rey.

Where was the legend killer when he went up against legends like Taker, Angle and Hogan, and came out 0-3?

Worthless gimmick.

Cena easy. Always Cena. Orton would have to improve by the power of 50 to be better than any run of the mil jobber.

Let alone Cena.

More like mediocre workers, and can have decent matches if carried by the right person. Cena is quite talented and can do some pretty strong matches. For all the complaints it is his main event status, not his own skill limit, that is the problem. If he were a midcarder, he'd probably bust out more moves. He executes most of his moves well, and unlike Orton, he's hardly sloppy.

Cena has proven himself on every level: It's just that his gimmick is now G-Rated, and he's a safer worker now because he's a main eventer.

I'm sorry, I'd love to hate on Cena like the rest of you, but I cannot stop reality from getting in my way.

Ill go with Orton, I never will be rid of the searing hatred for the fucking wigger, so he gets a win by me being biased.

I don't hate on Cena the same as the rest. I voted for him in this poll. I defend him regulary and fault the promotion and booking for making him look bad to hardcore fans, when he can't help who he is. He's a main eventer and a main eventer worker and a credible champion.
I think he's solid and can occasionally give some good work.

I was just pointing out that he's not a GREAT worker, nor is he going to consistently have AMAZING matches no matter who he's facing.
His most amazing match is probably gonna be against Shawn Michaels in 6 days.
