Anything from Revolver on is essential.

Rubber Soul is the best Beatles album.

Rubber Soul is also fucking incredible but Revolver is where they really came into their own.

Early-era Beatles stuff is also good but the psychedellic era is where they really shine. The early stuff is basically poppy love songs.

Rubber Soul is the best Beatles album. You're crazy man.

I honestly can't decide between Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, Revolver and Abbey Road. That's probably how I'd rank them though.

You're crazy man.

They're ALL great. Especially after Help! But Rubber Soul is king.

I don't know, I can't see picking Rubber Soul as their best album. I agree that it is an excellent album, but it doesn't compare to the other 4 I listed. Those 4 are the top tier, then I'd place Rubber Soul, Help and Let It Be in the middle tier of greatness. The early stuff is also great, but doesn't compare.

Things We Said Today
Think For Yourself
I Am The Walrus
A Day In The Life
Here Comes The Sun
Love You To
Penny Lane
I'm So Tired
And Your Bird Can Sing (I actually enjoy the Anthology version a bit more, with Lennon and McCartney cracking up throughout.)

Word. I remember back in that "what are you listening to" thread, BS and I did like a page of Beatles songs. Good times for all.
