Alls I'm sayin' is that smarks bitch and moan about how new talent should be pushed and the old guys hold everyone down. But now from what I can tell every one wants Taker and Micheals to win a wrestlemainia...so yeah.

Discuss.

Taker has never been one of the guys people complain about when it comes to holding younger guys down. I also think a lot of it has to do with how much the smarks hate Batista.

Because the other option is Cena and Batista winning, and Cena and Batista have won every PPV for the past 2 years, not really but I'm using hyperbole.

Taker has been tarred with that brush quite often in fact Fignuts.

Wrongfully so, imo.

I guess with all the Triple H and Jarrett hate, taker hate was easy to miss.

It's not that people don't like new talent, infact when Cena and Batista won the titles two years ago everyone cheered and loved it. It's the fact that for two years now, Batista and Cena have been pushed as ungodly unstoppable wrestlers. Lashley is starting to fall in the boat as well. New talent should be pushed, but not at the expense of the product as a whole, which WWE has done.

People dislike Glass Ceilings, and lately, Cena, Batista, and Lashley have been sitting on top of that ceiling, and it's getting just as boring and stale as it would if it was older guys.

I was just pointing it out and asking for you all to discuss. We need some god damn heel champions.

I was really hoping for Edge to win MitB and HBK to win the WWE Title. They could tease that Edge is going to challenge HBK clear up until SummerSlam when he does actually cash in. They continue feuding for the rest of the year trading the title back and forth once or twice. It would be fantastic.

Also, CM Punk turning heel and taking the belt off Lashley would make me smile.

Well, what we've got with The Undertaker is hope that he'll lay down to someone worthy. If Taker loses, his streak and the legacy goes to a man who is already old and lazy. Though I've been saying for years that Taker needs to lay down his streak while he still has relevance, this is not the way to go about it. Batista's already over, he's on top, and he's old enough that he likely only has a few years left in him--fewer if he reinjures himself again.

Problem is, if Bats loses, Take will probably pass his streak on to someone else who'll probably need it about as much. So I'm torn.

I am finally on board with the whole "Edge WM Streak" vs. "Taker WM Streak" match idea at 24. I think Edge, while not being a real young guy, still has a great run as a big time main event player ahead of him and him ending Taker's streak while keeping his rolling would be a good way of going about solidifying him as a true top dog. Cause face it, while he's a great Main Event heel, he has nothing going for him as far as pushing him from Main Eventer to legit legend. That just might do the trick, since winning the WWE Title twice didn't...

Edge is a lot better choice than Batista, especially given his Mania streak. And this is coming from someone who hasn't found him entertaining since his whole "angray face" shtick started.

It still looks to me a bit like they're gearing up Kennedy to end the streak.

Based on what? I'm not doubting you, I've just got no real info on the road to Wrestlemania, aside from the fact that Trump/McMahon makes me want to watch even less.

I really can't explain it. It just feels like it. They're building him as having some sort of epic rivalry with 'Taker--repeated matches, they keep getting shoved against each other, and now 'Taker's champion while Kennedy has the briefcase. They're being billed for a long, drawn out affair, and Kennedy's a young guy that seems to have alot of support from the bookers. At the very least, he's under 400 pounds and NOT getting totally jobbed to infinity yet. I'd say they're either working towards Kennedy taking the streak, or they haven't thought about it at all. Nobody else has that sort of fuel to their fire.

Taker has been tarred with that brush quite often in fact Fignuts.

And I've still never heard a specific and glaring example of exactly who Taker has held down.
