I was wondering if Wrestling like back in the 70s when Flair and what not wrestled was scripted as far as the outcome of the match and major spots. And i mean way back when the WWE was called the WWWF and AWA and NWA were popular. It seems like to me back then there were not any storylines, just basic matches. Basically, it could have been like watching any other sport today.

Matches are technically scripted so yes.
Only since the late 1800's.

there was a big split arount the beginning of the 1900s.... there was people fixing out comes of matches and some people going the real way and thats where the split of pro wrestling and ncaa wrestling began. ncaa hasnt evolved much from then, but pro wrestling has. They started scripting undercard type of matches but keeping the championship matches to a real unscripted better man outcome and eventually the whole thing became fixed. but this was all very long ago. probably before the 50s

more NCAA wrestlers should be getting into Pro-Wrestling. Don't you guys think?
Professional wrestling is 100% legit. Even the lightening bolts out the Undertaker's hands, and seeing through Vince's eyes on Raw.

His new contacts are so strong that they project to all the filming equipment.

Today someone told me that I was going to hell because I don't believe in Jesus, and somehow your post offended me more than that.

Okay boys and girls, it's time for a little history lesson!
Ever since wrestling was put in a ring, it has been a show. While in the past there has been a lot of shooters and people going into buisness solo it has been scripted for over 100 years.
The NWA in it's prime was a all a show. Same with the WWWF. Hell, even when Frank Gotch was wrestling it was a show (albeit it was real when he was in his prime).
Today it's just alot more open. Since various people, ranging from a drunken agent who gave a show's results to the paper a day early and all the way to Vincent Kennedy McMahon, have opened up about the industry.
Just please, do some reading. Read "Classy" Freddie Blassy's book. Read Ric Flair's book. Watch "The Unreal History Of Pro Wrestling" next time it's on A&E. People will tell you that it has been a show for the longest time. While at one point, in the 1800's, it was legit, it hasn't been that way for the longest time.
The last time wrestling was real was when JR called someone literally being broken in half.
Well, that's not entirely true. It was in thirds, not in half.

well.... not all ncaa wrestlers look like brock. and anyone not wrestling hwt is prolly too small for the wwe. the second lightest weight class is 197 and id think that would be pretty small for a cruiser weight. Am I wrong on this? plus like 85-90% of the heavyweights out there do not look that good in terms of running around in a ring in a speedo.

Wrestling was real right up until Vince said it wasn't.

Whoa. About that small shit. Michaels is like Legit 200 pounds. Bryan Danielson, Rey mysterio, Spanky London, are all under 200 or slightly above, legit. They tottally just name whatever weight they want.

ok but that still only makes 2 out of the 10 weight classes usable in the wwe
