Randy Orton was promising during his tenure with Evolution, and as a rising star thanks to his fued with Mick. But now the ship has sailed on him and he's becoming increasingly more and more dissapointing. He's like the new age Windham. Though I don't mean to compare them in any way other than that.

TRIPLE H IS THE FUCKING MAN!

There I said it. Neg rep me you idiots who can't understand that he was over and champion before he fucked Stephanie.

Not gonna neg rep you, but being over and champion 8 years ago doesn't justify constantly being the focal point of the company when you have been inconsistant, mostly unpopular and problematic in the time since.

An 8 year run, consistantly at or very very near to the top rung of the company, would be pushing it for even an all-time great in-ring and mic worker, neither of which Hunter is. Hogan, Flair, Austin, Rock... it's hard to see any of those guys having the better part of a decade being a huge axis in a company in the current landscape. Were anybody else in HHH's shoes, having not proven a TV, ratings or house show draw since 2002, they would have been wiped from the slate by now. Trips keeps getting chance after chance after chance to recreate the year 2000, and fails 90% of the time.

I know this ain't the point of your thread here, but I get the irony of what you are saying, and I'm just trying to explain on behalf of the Triple H haters (which I am not neccessarily a part of) the reason why it is so hard to come to terms with his role and why this is a nagging topic (hence the reason you are mentioning it).

You could argue against Triple H's standing in the company until you are blue in the face and not even have to mention Stephanie McMahon once. She's just an additional factor (albeit an obvious defining factor in his current position, but not neccessarily the reason for the Trips bashing.) In the words of Jim Cornette, "it doesn't make any fucking sense" that he is still pushed as the feature attraction of the company (Cena or no Cena, belt or no belt) despite having limited appeal, longevity and ability at best and that is why he is bashed, not because he married Stephanie.

What's more, his career year came to a halt when he suffered a torn quad. When he returned, it took him two years to get back into any kind of shape and start working half decent matches again. He has still never returned to that 2000 form. Now, he is six years older and has just suffered an even more severe injury than the last one. I have a sneaking suspicion that when he returns, not only will he be pushed the hardest he has ever been pushed (paranoid that his career may be coming to a premature end) but he will be putting on the worst matches he has ever been involved with (if history has shown us anything).

Therefore.... Biggest Triple H Push Ever + Worst Triple H Matches Ever = Biggest IWC Triple H Bashing Session Of All Time.

I'm just warning you all to be prepared. If you think it's bad now....

It's because there was a thread dedicated to real life fueds.

And oddly, I agree with everything in this thread :y: ... except for the Bret Hart comment. :n:

Yeah, he was a good wrestler, but he was never money on the mic, and just frankly, I think he's overrated. (Not to say he didn't have some fantastic matches. Hart/Perfect was fucking brilliant. Stone Cold/Bret was great.)

Oh, and I think all of this Bret Hart sentiment might come from the fact that this took place TEN YEARS AGO, and I would dare to bet that there were alot of people posting here that were still marks back then and had not made the unfortunate transition to smark. (I came to that conclusion after reading a couple of different posts, not on the Hitman, but on other superstars whom people had only seen in WWE, and knew nothing about beforehand) Or, there are alot of people posting now that have no idea what possibly (Not saying they 'would' have) losing the WWF title to WCW would have done to the company at that point. Forget the fucking HBK/Bret feud. (But don't forget Bret's logic for not wanting to lose the title in Canada. That's bullshit.)

Vince was a fucking asshole about it yes, but I don't blame him.

Yes, I had a pair of Hitman shades too.

I had a lot of respect for Bret Hart, but since 97 he has been a dick.
The screw job could have been the best thing to happen to WCW. They had the champion that the WWF couldn't beat. The champion that the WWF had the screw. It was a great set up.
But no, he didn't want to lose the title in front of his "countrymen." He was in Montreal. That's like saying Bob Backlund shouldn't have dropped the title in New York because it's his home country.

Moving on, there's the death of Owen Hart. A huge loss for the wrestling world, but more so for the Hart family. It was a tragic accident that should have never happened.
And Bret Hart had the class to use that as a soap box to bash the WWF again. Fucking Classy.

Down the line a little more Bret Hart gets into the hall of fame. Looks like there is some water under the bridge, but not all of it. While it's true that Bret Hart never said he was going to be at WrestleMania the following day it's to be expected.
Now his feelings about HBK aside I feel he owed it to his fans to go out there with every one else that year. Please, don't tell me that he didn't owe it to the fans. If it wasn't for the fans no wrestler would be anywhere today.

Let’s go back to the subject of Owen Hart… Bret was bitching about Owen not going into the hall of fame. When Owen Hart passed away he was my favorite wrestler. As much as I liked Owen Hart he's not Hall of Fame worthy. He was a great wrestler, and a good person who was taken away too soon. However, just because someone passed away at a young age doesn't mean they belong in the Hall of Fame.
Just because his last name is Hart doesn’t mean he should go in. All Bret wants is for the Hart family name to live on and we all know you can’t put that burden Teddy. The Hart Family is a thing of the past.

There, I said it.

When has Bret ever bitched about Owen not being in a HOF?

Also, what does class have to do with Bret wanting real legit answers to his bros death? Not to mention they shovelled Owen off and then continued on with the show for the cash. Had Shane taken that fall, you think Vince allows the show to go on? Fuck no. That lacked class, if anything, and I can see why that would anger anyone, certainly Bret.

BTW, The Hart family name is hardly fading. Just look at how revered Bret still is. Not to mention the fact his neohews and niece, among other members linked to the family are gaining rise and signing on with the big time company.

Plus, for whatever it's worth, the guys in the Kliq are my closest TPWW "friends" so it was all a joke. Others took it too seriously, and now we have 23 little stables running around. Let me just state this, The TPWW Kliq is just that. It's a click of TPWW posters. There is no war. There is no E-Showdowns happening. Well Yes Tovo it may not be impossible, but it's kinda interesting especially since it was always more to Bret's side, but still there were a good amount of HBk supporters, but the gap to me seemed like it was closing since HBK still fresh in our minds and putting out great performances. It seemed the liked closed even more after you said your thoughts.

In fact I would say it was 60/40 in favor of Bret, but right now it kinda looks like its 65/35 in favor of HBK.

Some people have always sided against Bret.. BDC and Avenger, who would be a two of your members who always went against Bret

Now Steele has been against Bret for sometime now, but he did use to have a bow down to Bret Hart picture in his sig. So I find his situation intersting, and I would like to hear more about why he changed his mind on Bret. From going to worshipping him to where he's at it now. I guess it's becasuse he thinks Bret Hart is bitter and what not as he stated above.

Still the whole Bret Hart Whiny Penis or cunt as he is referred to in this thread still boggles my mind. Since you know Bret's boss did break their contract and Bret completly trusted Vince almost like a Father in fact, and Bret busted his ass for the company for years and years so that had to be a terrible feeling for the Hitman.

Then a few years later his brother died when he was doing a stupid gimmick that he should not have been doing in the first place.

Now see if any of that stuff happend to me I would be bitter about it for a pretty long time. So really if there is anyone who deserves to be bitter, and I don't even think he's that bitter anyway anymore it's Bret Hart.

Also I respect that Bret still doesn't really want to work with the WWE that much. I find it refreshing in this day and age when people usually only do things for money that someone would actually stick to what they think is right.

So I end with saying Bret Hart is a great role model and I wish I could be more like him.

James Steele
04-11-2007, 11:07 PM
I have stated IN THIS THREAD that Bret Hart is a great wrestler, but HBK is superior. Also, in that old sig there were a lot more people to bow down to other than just bret hart.

If I have done anything to swey people's minds, it's present the truth without the Dave Meltzer filter. Honestly, most people's opinion of Hart is directly related to Meltzer's opinion of him. For whatever reason internet marks have always fallowed Davey in anything. I never did. Always thought he was an annoying cunt with a big ego and a sense of accomplishment, which he deserves none of. Now let's be fair, in the past week or so, I have done VERY little discussing Shawn's numerous short comings, because let's face it, he was a very reputable jackass in the mid 90's, but Bret was a very reputable whinny bitch in the mid 90's. I guess once people were presented something other than the words of Meltzer they decided they prefered an asshole to a pussy (no Tovo is gay jokes, just using metaphore). I happen to agree with that. I don't think I weild any kind of power over people's opinions, I think that I've been around TPWW long enough that people take the time and give me the e-respect to actually read what I say, but it's not like I give the word and people bow down to it. If anything, I think a lot of people might also have similar opinions, but due to the IWC's history of lashing out against people with different opinions they chose not to speak out until someone else came along and shouted it for everyone to hear.

Yes I know there were other people in the sig, but those did not pertain to this topic.

But I want to know why you have stopped bowing to him. It's ok to bow down to both of them. You wouldn't be doing anything wrong.

When it comes to this subject, Bret is and always was a whiny self-righteous cunt. I hate people who always have to be the victim, and despite what shit Kane Knight wants you to believe...BRET HART HAS DONE NOTHING BUT BITCH ABOUT MONTREAL.

He might have tovo he might have...

But no seriously I am really interested in why the sudden turn on Bret. I mean I'm sure some people did follow you tovo, but still probably a good number made their own minds up and Steele would be one of them.

I'm sure you are right Tovo I guess it's becasue people precieve Bret as a whiny pussy even though I don't think he is, but whatever.

See but I think Bret is allowed to Bitch about Montreal and bitch about the WWE. However it's not Bret who keeps bringing it up in interviews and in storylines.

He doesn't really bitch about it anymore.

I think people hate in Bret Hart is misplaced. That's the way it is though.

I have always respected him as a wrestler, but on the level of being a person he is a whiny cunt. Its not hard to say "That is the past. Let's move on."

Bret's only REAL greivence which I could rally behind is the death of Owen. But even there, it's not like that was in any way intentional. They had done that stunt many times before, it was a freak accident (which most of the evidence points to Owen attempting to grab his cap which had begun to fall). Still, it would be very easy for someone to blame WWE for that, despite it NOT being their fault. It's a part of a show, sometimes even the best put together shows have accidents. Hell Bruce Lee's son died while filming a movie. Terrible accidents happen in the entertainment feild. Terrible accidents happen in every work feild.

That's what gets me the most. Bret has said next to NOTHING about the death of his brother, which if that's how he chooses to greave then so be it, but it seem rather trivial that he has never been short to discuss how he got "screwed".

But he has moved on.

And if he didn't answer the question people would stay he hasn't moved on. I think it's a lose/lose for him really.

It was obvious accdient, but still it was stupid angle that he was being put in becasue he was punished, becasue he didn't want to to an affiar angle which was probably another dumb angle.

See I don't think he Trivialise( I can't spell that) he's come out in the past and said that they should never have done that, and he shouldn't have done that. I'm sure though Bret has said more about the Owen subject.

And also people always refer it back to the screwjob anyway in interviews like I said. What he has said is that he is over it, but it seems that the WWE isn't over it. Which you gotta kinda argee with, and if you watch the Bret DVD he seemed over it to me.

Also Bret does have a book coming out soon which I can't wait for btw. Don't know the date, but I'm excited for it, and of course it's supposed to be really long
