View Full Version : Kaufman/Inter-geneder question...
Just got done with Man on the Moon (really great, one of Carey's best roles in my opinion) and it seemed that they were trying to get over (the movie, that is) that at least some of the intergeneder "matches" were real.
What was the deal here? Were they works with plants? Only some of them were real?

I believe I read in Lawlers book that the women matches were actually real. Because they invited back that black lady that almost beat kaufman because her house had burned down the week before.

Yeah most of them were real. Often time Zmuda(the ref) would get a handful of women volunteers on stage and have the audience pick who they wanted to fight Kaufman.
Nothing in wrestling is real.

Considering wrestling seems to draw the same fanbase that Star Trek does...:shifty:

It's amazing how well the CGI has held up compared with more modern films
