Snitsky vs. Nunzio

Little Guido is announced as Nunzio and comes out with an Italian flag. The crowd is chanting his name and is behind him bigtime. Snitsky nails the big boot and it's over that quick.

Real nice WWE, :y:

They probably had a Plan A and a Plan B for the match...

Plan A - If he gets a mild reaction the match would go back and forth for 2-3 minutes with Nunzio/Guido showing some offense before he gets the boot and pinned.

PLan B - If he gets a huge pop and chant 6 second squash featuring immediate boot and have him carted out on a stretcher as if he was just killed in the ring.

Fucking shit. I remember how excited I was when he debuted as Nunzio as Jamie Knobles cousin. I was really excited because he is an excellent worker. WTF is this shit?!

It's called being a jobber victim, garnering heat, and pushing what they want to be a monster. I can't remember the last time Nunzio wasn't a jobber so I don't see what the outcry is now that he made it on tv

Its because ecw has (probably) never been filmed in Italy, and would it have killed the wwe to give a home-country hero a win? Or least let the fan's favourite star wrestle for a decent amount of time

They should have at least let the poor guy pull of an upset in a dark match for that crowd. They could have fed any other jobber to Snitsky. It's not like that heat will carry over.

WWE is genius.

They know their shit.

Literally.

I can see this from both angles.

I don't know why they had Little Guido announced as Nunzio. I think that's kind of weird. Snitsky actually beat someone that's over, though. It might get him a little bit of heat. God knows he needs it.

I personally would have had Little Guido/Nunzio win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on SmackDown!. It's not like Chavo really needs it. A win for Guido would have led to a nice match, and a nice moment.

Not suprised one bit.

I never understood the whole 'bury the hometown hero' fixation that WWE has. It's like they intentionally want the crowd to hate the show.
