WWE has ended its relationship with one of its developmental territories, Deep South Wrestling. WWE.com made the following announcement regarding the change:

WWE ends relationship with DSW

Written: April 18, 2007

World Wrestling Entertainment has ended its relationship with Deep South Wrestling. For the past two years, DSW has served as one of WWE's developmental territories. Check back here as more information becomes available.

I bet soon (like in a couple months) they pull out of OVW too.

LOL, that lasted long.

And I seriously doubt OVW is going anywhere, they need at least one developmental territory.

Kinda odd, I guess, but whatever. I do wonder what this means for those currently in DSW with WWE developmental contracts, but I'm sure it won't be big news.

It means that for one night, they won't be cold. They'll have thems some KINDLIN'. Gotta stoke that fire.

This really sucks for a lot of guys out there, but really, one of these is enough. Plus there hasn't been much good to come out from DSW anyway.

And to the notion that OVW is in jepordy, I'd say nah. Doesn't seem likely, but hey, stranger things have happend.

MVP was the only guy I seem to remember that has been in DSW.

I dont know if its related or now but I seen commercials on the Fight Network promoting DSW wrestling on there channel.

Yeah, WWE needs at least one developmental place...and there's been a pretty hefty handful of guys to come out of OVW. I think it's pretty safe.
