View Full Version : Since PPVs are now all co-brand....

I'd like to see each brand get at least ONE ppv that isn't co-brand. Give ECW One Night Stand, SmackDown gets The Great American Bash, and Raw gets New Years Revolution.
Just a tought. Just a little way for the WWE to say "They're not all the same brand."

Yea that would be alot better, I think it would be hard tryin to showcase your talent if all of them are co-branded, but then again when does the WWE showcase talent.

How about, now that PPVs are co brand, cut it back down to 12 or 13, and end brand extension between Raw and SD.

I'd rather they just have a theme with the PPVs. Obviously ECW will be headlined by an ECW World Title Match, etc.
I'd like to see them make one PPV consist entirely of Title matches. That's a total of nine matches, each one for a Title.

Yeah, they should call it "WrestleCraziness" or "WrestleManiacs" or something...

How about WWE GoldRush in your house

So long as they don't call the all champions PPV "Clash of the Champions." They already killed "The Great American Bash," they don't need to trash another WCW ppv.

Yea since WWE great american bashes were such a tarnish on the strong legacy left on that PPV name with it's last few offerings.

Here's another little perk to each brand having their own Brand Only PPV.
Backlash is on the 29th, with the next PPV being One Night Stand, June 3rd. Make that one ECW only. It'll give Raw and SmackDown more time to build up matches for Vengence (June 24th).
After that July 22nd, a SmackDown only PPV, The Great American Bash. It'll give Raw and ECW time to build up their matches for Summer Slam (Aug 26th), instead of rushing through the angles every month for three brands at once.

^ ECW doesn't have a big enough roster to have its own PPV.

I believe they can fill the void. Let's say it runs two and a half hours, since ECW is only a one hour show.
Throw in a lot of promos, fillers, backstage stuff, videos, just water it down, and expand the roster.

well if Raw and SD merged back into one brand, and ECW remained they could acquire a handful of talent appropriate for that brand. Then they'd be more than ready to exist on their own.

ECW is shit atm anyway, no one would care.

Judgement Day is in May between Backlash and One Night Stand.

Umm...question...
Where's the news that they're ALL co-branded now in the first-place? Seeing nothing about it on the sites so far.....
Or did I just ask something really really DUMB?!! :shifty:

Now as the ppvs will feature talents from all the three brands, I wonder if ever the B grade champions would attain any future highlight position at any of the ppvs. Gregory Helms only .got one spot in a interpromotional brand matchup at Survivor Series. London and Kendrick although having such a long reign as Tag Team Champions have gone unnoticed to the part time wrestling fan. They never got a match at a high profile ppv

I think there was a blurb on wwe.com about it, and something in the news forum. Also, just look at the line up for Backlash.

Aren't all the shows co-branded, too?
I mean, stop me if I'm wrong, but it just seems every show I've watched of late (which, granted, is like 3 or 4), there's some co-rostered "goodness." At this point, are they evenb pretending there is a brand plit?
Yeah, I was watching SmackDown! last night and was like "Why the fuck are the Hardyz on here?". It's like the brands don't exist anymore except in name.

And Lashley was on Raw. Oh, but this is the Italy tour, right?
Which is why ECW has main evented Raw more than Raw has in the last month? Nothing said "distinct brands" like ECW championships and stars in the main event.
Didn't even think about that one. Shows how much I see them as separate brands.
Of course, it could be said that it was for the Mania hype, and that would make sense, except he's still appearing almost a month after Mania.

They are pretending; they just aren't doing a very good job of it. Now it's like the only thing the "brand extension" means is that there are three "World" Champions, which makes even less sense when they're appearing on the same shows all the time.

And realkly, having three world champions under one roof is just silly. It's not so bad if you look at them as in-house championships, but they're not supposed to be.
I really wish they'd either shit or get off the pot. Separate brands, or a united roster. This "splitting the difference" shit is lame.
