Obviously from 1997 to late 1999 he was untouchable and could do no wrong, but even after he came back and wasn't the same Stone Cold he use to be, he was fucking entertaining. I mean, even looking back on the InVasion and how absolutely horrible his heel turn and the angle on a whole was done, it was still somehow entertaining. There was about a hundred things wrong with it all, but as a performer, Austin still carried his weight and did it as well or better than anyone else could have done in that situation. And as much shame as it brings me to admit, I kind of miss "WHAT?" in that nostalgic sort of way. Someone, make me feel better that the era of Austin will never come again. :(

I dunno how to make you feel better than tell you that HBK is actually carrying Cena to a decent angle.

Oh, and has anyone seen The Condemned? It's the first WWE Film I'm even remoately interested in seeing, just kind of waiting for some feedback.

Yeah that makes me feel good, and let's face it, MICHAELS is a god and he is basically single handedly keeping me watching wrestling. But I have to admit, I really do miss Austin's Attitude Era.

Does the fact that you will never see Austin job to Cena make you feel better?

No doubt it would be a WrestleMania 13 recreation, but with Tito Ortiz as Shamrock and Austin tapping to the STFU.

But it's not going to happen. :y:

I always liked Austin, he was never my favorate wrestler, but i knew he was fuckin awesome and that was that. And I liked Austin as a heel, some of his most entertainin shit comes from the InVasion.

Michaels is a god and he is the only reason to watch wrestling anymore. He carries everyone to a good everything. Hell, even the matches that he wasn't in on TV this week... yeah, they were better because of him.

And I don't so much miss the Austin era..... The "what" thing made me bitter at him for life I think...

That is quite possibly the only thing that makes me feel better.

While discussing MICHAELS being a god is aalways welcomed in my book, I thought I would post this tribute video of Austin to help stear the conversation back to the original purpose.

The worse part isa, he would actually tap. With Bret he passed out,k he'd actually tap to the STFU

Obviously, do you not see the clear strain it puts on the neck, not mention how deadly it looks when Cena applys it.

Though his character, booking and fueds weren't as strong upon his return in 2000, I like to think that in many ways he was better than ever during his second run from 2000-2002. It doesn't hold a candle to his 97-99 prime, but in a lot of ways his skills from bell to bell improved.
