My sister's computer is fucked up and I can't seem to fix it.

She can get on AIM and other apps that use internet access, but can't access the internet through any browsers. I thought it was a problem with Windows Service Pack 2, which I deleted, but that wasn't it. I reinstalled that shit and I don't know, I can't seem to figure it out.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the firewall but that doesn't really explain why it would just start happening out of the blue.

Yeah... any ideas of what it could be?

So you have reinstalled Windows XP service Pack 2?
What firewall is she running? Have you tried disabling it?
Any spyware etc on the PC? Have you scanned for it?
After scanning for spyware and removing it, run this.

Shit haven't checked this out.

Yeah, reinstalled service Pack.
Norton firewall (Intenet Security one)
Scanned for spyware, cleaned it up.

I'll run that thing.

System restore, that could do it.

best to disable system restore before virus and adware scanning as well.
