Is this like the most underrated show on TV?
Personally have been watching a shit load of it recently (thanks to alluc.org). Just like the perfect show in so many ways. Real explosions, some comedy, awesome mustaches. Discuss your favorite myths busted or whatever.

It's entertaining, though often enough erroneous. Been watching it since it came on TV.

I love it. Don't really think it's underrated though. Most everybody I know has at least seen some of it.

It's not under rated.
Yeah it's pretty good.

It's one of the most popular cable shows (Non-HBO and stuff...Can't remember if this is called basic cable anymore, but I think they changed it) on TV, so it's definitely hard to call it underrated.

It's a very good show. Not great, but very good. Only problem is I think they'r going to run out of ideas.

There are so many urban legends and hollywood stunts out there, and more being invented with new technology every day. I think as long as there is progression, discovery, and especially the internet, these myths will continue to proliferate.
I think the show'll be off the air long before they run out of actual ideas. I mean, I could name half a dozen cell phone myths they haven't tested yet. Just off the to of my head.

Yeah, you will see less of the "big named" myths so to say, but as KK said their is a lot of others to be looked into still.
I suppose the reason I call it underrated is I rarely hear anything about it or fans talk about it. Deserves more recognition in that regards in my opinion.

It's probably one of those shows that nobody really goes out of their way to see, but if it's on and nothing else is on they're hooked.

I'd imagine that's so, especially with how often reruns are on. I'll be flipping around like so:

I'm watching it right now for that exact reason.
I'm watching Adam get tortured by Daddy Longlegs. I loved this episode, because they couldn't really prove or disprove the jet engine "myth," but they had real footage of it happening.

Yeah, I just watched that episode the other day. Loved when Adam put his arm into the spider container, brilliance.

I love any of the episodes where the dummy (forget what they named it) gets destroyed. One was throwing him out of a window on large piece of plywood to see if he could "float" down. I think there was a rocket chair that he was in. Good stuff.

The one where they obliterated the breathalyzer myth and the one where they got drunk for a driving test. And of course, anything with explosions.

They busted the using a mobile (cell) phone while filling your car myth and you are still not allowed to fill your car and talk on the phone.
I got screamed at theother day by a crazy lady because i was talking on my phone - i hadn't even started pumping the petrol (gas), in fact I'd only just got out of the car, and I was about to hang up anyway. And this loony lady starts screaming at me about the car blowing up.
If I was really cool and quick I would have flipped her off and said "Mythbusters bitch", but I hung up and yelled shut up at her instead.
I hate thinking of cool stuff 20mins later.

Probably for good reason.
You know, since they're not exactly the most scientific of folk. Some of their results, upon retesting have been disproven.
The mobile bit is still bullshit, mind.
But then, look at Cell phones on planes. people are convinced that it's eadly, when some airlines put towers on planes.
People are gullible as fuck.

Just by tapping your brakes, you're sending electricity from your battery to the tail lights, between which there could potentially be a spark. By applying the brakes, you'd be risking the lives of everyone at the gas station. They should ban that too.
Your radio too. Ban that.
And the credit card reader. Ban those.
And black people....:shifty:
Ok, scratch that last one.

Well, they used to have bans on using things like your radio when pumping. Your car had to be completely off. In the US at least.
Saw the ep last night. Don't know how new it is, but it's about Ninja myths. Catching a sword, catching an arrow, and walking on water. I'm glad the "ninja" they spoke to (I question his credentials) said what he did about trying to get "off line." Because like I said to Shadow last night, I'm pretty sure someone could catch a sword like that if they were good enough, but I think they'd be smart enough to just get out of the way.
Having studied jujutsu, I know several techniqies to handle someone with a sword. NONE OF THEM involve trying to catch a blade, because it's smarter to try and catch the arm or direct the blow. And since we're talking techniques known by most "ninja" practicioners today....
Still, catching with your ninja claws is a good way to still lose a hand.

Clearly you know nothing about ninjas. They'd rather look cool by catching a sword than doing something more logical.

I love Mythbusters so much, I always try to watch the show when it's on :y:
The only myth that has irked me so far was the beating the speed camera one. They said you can't beat the camera by going through it fast enough, but Top Gear showed that you could... you just have to be going 170+ MPH :o

My favorite non-wrestling show on TV.
My favorite episode is the one where they blew up the cement truck.
