And by best, I mean least disgraceful.

Shane. At least he coulda put on some damn fine entertaining matches. Plus with Stephanie and Vince there's always that kinda "why am I not surprised?" mentality.

Also because any non-wrestler winning the world title instantly makes the proper wrestlers look like shit. When Shane was fueding with X-Pac for the European title WAAAAAY back in 1999, it was at least believeable because it was a mic-card title.

If Shane was the world champion, you're basically looking at a non-wrestler being better than Steve Austin, The Rock, Undertaker etc.

Shane's reigns weren't disgraceful. If somebody picks anyone other then Shane (and were serious about it) I'd be surprised.

I personally think Vince's first championship win was fine. It helped the storyline, and really, I didn't mind Vince holding it.

Now, on the other hand... :nono:

I voted Shane, though. He was believable.

Shane.

Its clearly between Shane and Steph and Steph can't wrestle, so Shane gets the nod because he could actually pull matches when he was champ.

Vince's first run wasn't bad because of how it was booked. The WWF title wasn't suffering any major credibility issues, and it fit into a well-booked storyline. With the ECW title, however, the title itself and the surrounding storylines have been booked like shit. At a time when the belt was screaming to be returned to a sense of respect, this is the last thing it needed.

Shane only took lower card titles and was/is an entertaining spot monkey.

Vince only takes world titles, and it would be ok for him to be just WWE, being that he owns it, but it is horrible that he is ECW champion. It seems like he wants ECW to fail.

Uh, Vince does own ECW...

Only techincally. Well, it was more of Vince created the WWE championship. ECW was created by Heyman.

Vince is ECW champion?

Yes, he won the title last night at Backlash. Also, to answer the question, Shane O Mac

They've all been okay in context.

Haven't you been reading the threads?

Anyway, Shane wins this easily.

I loved both of Shane's runs.

Shane/Pac from Mania 15, I believe, is one of the most under appreciated matches of all time. Both men did great in it. Plus, Shane O-Mac never disappoints with his blow out spots. Shane is also my favorite "Authority Figure" guy ever.

I have that match and agree with you, that was the best match of the night imo.

I went with Vince, only because I think it's good that he's used his "power" a couple of times to strap some gold around his waist...besides he gets kinda boring as just "The Boss" who orders everyone around. Who knows? Maybe he'll even actually have a decent title defense when it comes time (we can only pray for this miracle...)

Easily VInce. Unlike the other two he was never meant to be credible like Steph and Shane were (HC only for Shane.)

That's a lot more disrespectful the manor that Vince won his accolades.

Jeritron

Shane was credible because he can go and it was only the Euro and HC belts. Stephanie was fine too, Stephanie won it with help and held it without defending it, just to throw her power around as the lead woman in the McMahon Helmsley Regime. It was also the Women's Belt.

Vince won both in fluke situations and has yet to defend either. So the way I see it, it's all good.

I remember a match with Trish that was very competive...different time frame?

Once the match started, the giant looked high and low. But he couldn't find Shane, which way did he go?
