Estrada got over with him saying his name, Road Dogg got over for his ring introduction, likewise with Kennedy. Even Funaki and Taka Michanoku got over with their catchphrase. It's not that hard to be given some exposure and a catchphrase and get over with it.

And what does the internet and Cena hating have to do with this? Most of the IWC love Kennedy, most of the IWC hate Cena. I hate Kennedy and I'm bored of Cena.
