I can't choose....and I feel like too much of a sad cunt thinking about it:$

Never watched the shows. Going by the movies though, I'd go with TOS. TNG has First Contact...and that's about it. I liked Insurrection but let's not kid ourselves here.

But since the question seems to refer to the TV shows, I'll have to go with the last option.

I like them all, TOS is great but I dunno, I'm a fan of long story archs, at DS9 did that the best by far. So DS9 it is.

I've never been a Star Trek fan. That being said, I liked the movies that followed the original series. When TNG came along, I had to laugh at how wooden and one dimensional the characters were. It was like, everyone but Data was a total Mary Sue. Didn't bother with Deep Space Nine, and Enterprise Blew. Voyager's about the only one I liked, and it may have to do with the the Injun in command. What can I say?

I'm not trying to separate myself from nerddom here, since I'm a Stargate fan, a Star Wars (OT) fan, and so on. I just don't like Trek. Wooden Actors, bad plots...It's like the worst elements of pulp and Shakespeare rolled into one.

I've never been a fan of anything Star Trek, so I went with the last option.

Next Gen for me,

Don't like watching stuff that looks really outdated so the first series was out for me, watched loads of Next Gen as it used to be on every day when I was have my dinner.

Then couldn't be bothered investing my time in anything more, tried with DS9, but it just didn't feel right, I dunno

DS9 has its moments, and the original is ok, but I never got into it.

Crappy CGI, cheesey action scenes...Yeah, TNG sure isn't outdated.

Yeah, every night I'd sit down and eat dinner, watching next gen on either sky one or bbc 2.

TNG got good after a slow start, but DS9 and Voyager both outdid it IMO. DS9 in particular I tink because it was darker, again originally it was the same kinda 1 episode storyline structures but when it got further into its run man, good shit.

You mean when it started ripping off Bab 5, it got good.

Just buy Bab 5, which was good from Episode 1, on DVD, and forget DS9.

Let me just say the Q is the man. Don't know why the fuck they did'nt put him in the movies.

I wasn't into it but I would actually watch Next Generation. Tried DS9 but it was terrible.

The Original, all the way.

They all had some good qualities. The original was so unique and as a kid I had all the figures and spaceships, transporter, etc. IT was king. I like TNG because of Picard most. Later Data got more interesting. DS9, meh. Voyager, meh. But less of a meh than DS9. Enterprise, I actually like for what I saw of it.

Original
TNG
Enterprise
Voyager
DS9

What was good about DS9 for a lot of people is what was it's downfall for me. Once I lost track of the continuing storyline, I was out. Same thing has happened to me in regard to BattleStar Galactica.

BSG, I need to buy the seasons to catch up, cause it was hot. WAYYY better than the Star Trek stuff.

Come to think of it, I'd put DS9 over Voyager

Since we're being retarded...

Yes, after all, that is the only similarity between the two shows.

I just don't see what the problem is with watching BOTH

Aside from DS9 being ass even after it started ripping off B5, nothing.

The Next Generation.

Voyager had the best series premise (a story arch that lasted the entire 7 seasons), had the best crewmembers (though I'll grant you Picard is the better captain), mixed new races with old races of aliens. It was just generally great.

The only time I really ever watched it was whenever I got in from a heavy night, had insomnia and was so monged watching a space soap was actually funny as, and it was always Next Generation.

It's hard not to be the better captain when one character is written universally and the other is written errattically.

I liked Janeway a lot, but you see the character less than half the time.

Yeah pretty much.

I will still forever love Janeway and her utter contempt for the Temporal Prime Directive.

She's also the first Starfleet Captain who has struck me as a scientist. Which makes sense, when you consider that the Starfleet folks are supposed to be, you know, intellectual.

Yup

I forgot another reason why I love Voyager the best.

Species 8472. A species so bad the Borg are scared of them.

Yup

oh and another reason tho not directly related with the TV show, Voayger produced the best Star Trek game ever in the name of Elite Force.

I also like the ship design more than the original. Though, I mean, even the Enterprise Enterprise was better than the original.

By the way, anyone else see Louis Zimmerman, and think of House?

Yeah Voyager is also the nicest looking ship.

Kane Knight

I also liked the look of the Reliant (and the similar ships). It was still less sleek than the modern ships.

The Delta Flyer was also a nice looking ship. I mean, just because there's no atmosphere in space doesn't mean your ships should be shaped like bricks. Especially the ones that are meant to go into atmosphere.
