View Full Version : Huge SmackDown! "Spoiler" (Actually, it's pretty obvious)
The following is a SmackDown! spoiler from PWinsider.com:
(This text is here to get the spoiler off the front page's preview pop-up.)
Edge cashed in his Money in the Bank title shot tonight in Pittsburgh, PA defeating The Undertaker to capture the WWE World championship in a bout that will air this Friday on Smackdown.
PWInsider.com has full coverage of the title change, which is already being acknowledged by WWE via their website and mobile text messaging service, on the main page.

Pretty interesting because it means Taker actually took at least one bump.
Though Kennedy did do more than stand around on Monday...

Guaranteed that was going to be Kennedy's spot all week, until he got hurt.
I don't doubt that for a second.

Apparently Edge got a massive pop when and he won the Title. I bet that will be edited out. Can't have Mark (not Henry) looking bad.

Doesn't matter, it was too early for Kennedy.

I agree. Although I should specify: not as a wrestler, in storyline terms. He just said he was going to cash in the title shot at WrestleMania 24. I have no doubt this was only a diversionary tactic, but to bust out their "big surprise" after just 8 days? Come on, WWE, be a little smarter than that.
I think Kennedy should have won the Title around Summerslam time.

Just sent this e-mail to WWE.com:
To whom it may concern,
WHAT THE FUCK?
Thank you for ruining Edge's title win, thank you for ruining what would have been my only mark out moment in a year.
WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU PUT "SPOILERS" ON YOUR WEBSITE WHEN THE EVENT HASN'T BEEN AIRED YET!!!!!!!!!
Now I know Edge is confirmed, he is my favourite wrestler, hearing his damn music hit would have made me mark out so bad, but no, you have to fucking ruin it, couldn't you make the report "Shocking event on Smackdown" alone? Seriously man, use your goddam brain. Why put spoilers with no warning on your site when the match hasn't aired yet.
Fuck this shit, you're not the only one who does it, so many people do, i am out of WWE.com until Wrestlemania is over, see you all April fourth.

Maybe, maybe not. A lot have guys have won the big title "too early" yet matured into it, The Rock being the first example that comes to mind.

LOL at the fan reactions to Edge's win. I would have loved for one fan to go "Yeah, I pretty much saw this coming. As soon as I heard Taker and Kennedy were hurt, and Edge won the MitB on RAW it was pretty obvious, no? I mean, what else could you do anyway? Totally obvious. I expected it 100%."

So Edge is officially on Smackdown then?
No Orton/Edge feud. :(

Actually, as there is no one of interest on SmackDown! that won't be feuding with Mark Henry, I can see them temporarily moving Orton over to SmackDown!, or just challenging for the Title from RAW.
What would be sweet is if Jonathan Coachman came out and said that Edge's contract obligations to RAW must be fulfilled, so he must appear on RAW as World Heavyweight Champion, while the Theodore Long still claims that the Title is bound to SmackDown! somehow.
I think I suggested this another time Edge was rumoured to be winning the WHT, as it could make the big belt's short history seem on par with the WWE Championship, as the World Heavyweight Champion appears on both shows.
