I gotta admit- when RVD said he was going to bring the WWE title to ECW, and became champion at One Night Stand, I almost cried.
I was pretty pissed off. It was before John Cena had a red S on his chest. I felt strongly that the WWE title NEEDED to stay with WWE. Yes, it was the same company, but I didn't think that (insert list of WWE champions here) wanted that title on a second rate brand. As much as I wanted to see Cena drop the WWE title I did NOT want to see Cena drop the WWE title to ECW.
However, if that would have happened today, knowing what ECW really is, I wouldn't care less.

Interviewer: Rob Van Dam, I cannot thank you enough for sitting down to discuss your WWE career with us today. How are you?
RVD:.......
Interviewer: Uh...Rob?
*RVD takes a drag*
Interviewer: Uh, Rob, we're going to be filming this. You're going to have to put that out.
RVD: Oh, right, right, right....*tosses down the blunt*
Interviewer: So anyway....
RVD: Wait, hang on....*lights up another blunt*
Interviewer: *sigh* I guess we can edit it out. Anyway, Rob, what is it that you believe is the biggest moment of your career here in the WWE?
RVD: Aw, dude, that totally has to be the time when I became a World Tag Team Champion with Kane, man. Dude, that rocked.
Interviewer: Really? Most people would believe that you defeating John Cena to capture the WWE Championship, THE most prestigious and one of the most historic titles in the business.
RVD: Pffffftt...what? When did that happen? I never won no WWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Championship. Hahah...I like that..WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Here, do it with me. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.....
Interviewer: Uh, Rob, I can assure you that you were able to win the coveted WWE Title at last year's One Night St.....
RVD: Dude, why are we wasting time talking about stuff you're imagining in that sick pumpkin head of yours, man? Why do that when we could be talking about my greatest acheivement EVER!
Interviewer: Your tag team title win?
RVD: Nah, dude. I'm talking about the title when I single-handedly won the WWE Women's Championship. Aw, dude, it was cool.
Interviewer: Uhhh....Rob, I don't believe you're eligible to wre....
RVD: Hold on, hold on....*takes another drag*
Interviewer: Mr. Dam, you're gonna have to pu....
RVD: Hey, man, why're you killing my trip? Dude, we have to check out the footage of me winning that title.

The aftermath really sucked due to numerous circumstances, but that match with RVD and Cena will always have a special place in my heart. Shit was great.

I guess that's the most a crowd has ever had to do with making a match good, save maybe Bret Hart/Steve Austin at WM13.

Me, too. And let's not forget, as Styles and Tazz so often mention in an RVD match on ECW, he was the only superstar in the company so far to hold both the ECW and WWE titles at the same time.:y:
Theo Dious

He made himself lose both the titles in 2 days because the stupid assfucker got arrested for smoking weed in a car while they were trying like hell to make their wellness policy look more credible than the IC title.
Look how nice I am, I fixed it for you.

Yeah, RVD was clearly supposed to be a huge deal in the new ECW. And he totally screwed he pooch on the matter. They built him up huge, and then he got caught doing something radically stupid.
And like I said in the other thread, the idea with the Wellness Policy was to deal with the negative publicity. Sure, it was BS, but that was the elephant in the room, and we know what RVD did to that elephant:
